Stone cottage - edge of village location, wonderful views, whirlpool
This newly renovated stone cottage with whirlpool tub in garden is situated on the edge of beautiful peaceful medieval village and boasts wonderful views over hills with mountains beyond. The house boasts traditional features of cotto and wooden floors, beamed ceilings, original large fireplace and original shutters. There are however modern comforts such as handmade fully equipped kitchen diner, comfy living room with fireplace, DVD, CD and MP3 player, along with further living area which can also be used as a third bedroom. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room, and also a family bathroom with bath tub. Outside there is a garden with panoramic views, whirlpool seating 6 to 8 people and eating out area. There is ample parking for two cars. There are two entrances to the house - one up large staircase but another with only 2 steps, so fine for pushchairs etc

The house is situated 1 hour north of Lucca on the edge of a peaceful hamlet. The access road is a cul de sac so traffic is almost non existent. Despite, peace, quiet and seclusion of this hamlet there is a bar and small shop less than 1 mile away , and 5 minutes in the car is the walled mediaeval village of Castiglione with its 2 restaurants, bars, bakers, butchers, pharmacy and of course stunning views. The main market town of Castelnuovo is 12/15 minutes drive and boasts supermarkets, train station, famous Thursday morning market and bars and restaurants. Airports - Pisa is around a 1 hr 20 min drive and Genoa 2/2.5 hrs. Florence - 1 hr 45 mins and Bologna - 2.5 hrs.
