A newly renovated detached Tuscan property, situated in peace & seclusion in the midst of the countryside, only 1 mile from the village of Camporgiano with its various facilities (see location). Il Mugheto is a recently restored Tuscan House with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, & private pool, overlooking hay meadows, a market garden & wooded hillsides, with the Alpuane Mountains in the distance. Well equipped, with modern conveniences, this house has not lost its original character with plank floors, terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, & the original granite staircase. The upstairs bathroom is also a clever mixture of traditional and modern, with the romantic stand alone claw feet bath, & period accessories, complimented by the modern shower unit. There is a garden with a lawn, along with a pool and a shaded pergola for eating al fresco, a terrace surrounding house & BBQ. Flattish nature of garden good for children. Ideal for walkers with various walking & bike tracks almost at the door.

Nearest Beach: beach at 53.0 Kilometres

Il Mugheto is about 100 metres from its nearest neighbours in the little hamlet of Roccalberti, in the heart of the Garfagnana, around 1 hr 15 minutes north of the beautiful mediaeval town of Lucca and just 15/20 minutes from the town of Castelnuovo famous for its Thursday morning market. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. The villa is only 1 mile from the village of Camporgiano with its smaller number of restaurants, small supermarket, small weekly market, privately owned castle, and train station. The house is around 90 minutes or so from Pisa, 2.5 hrs from Genoa, 30 minutes from the lively mediaeval town of Barga and say 1 hr 15 minutes from the coast. There are plenty of opportunities to explore local towns, hill top villages, to walk and picnic, ride horses, fish, or simply relax. A good choice for total seclusion.

Equipped with flat screen SAT TV, DVD player, CD and Cassette player, and Playstation 1. Separate dining room with seating for 8 leading to well equipped kitchen with 5 burner hob; fan oven & grill, fridge freezer & slim line dishwasher. Also downstairs is a utility room with washing machine & drying area, & shower room with shower cubicle, WC, sink & bidet. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms with plenty of storage. There is 1 double room; 1 which can be double or twin, & 1 twin. The family bathroom is spacious & consists of shower cubicle, WC, sink, bidet & for romantics, (or those with small children who don’t like the shower!) there is a stand alone claw feet bath. All upstairs rooms are dual aspect & so are bright & airy. There is also a small south facing balcony. Outside - garden, private pool (8M x 4.5M), surrounding terrace, shaded pergola, BBQ ample parking.
