Located in the small village of Giardinetto in the beautiful Lima valley of northern Tuscany - Villetta Lima looks out over the nearby clear, rushing waters of the River Lima and the mountains that surround, with good views from all rooms. An independent stone staircase leads to a full length balcony and the first floor apartment which is very spacious, tastefully furnished and well equipped. There are 3 comfortable bedrooms - large King size double, large twin bedded room and a smaller 'French' double room. The large sitting room has comfy sofas and double doors opening onto the balcony. The well fitted dining kitchen seats 6, has an open log fire and also opens onto the balcony The bathroom is fully fitted with bath, shower, wc and bidet. The 'al fresco' dining area has lighting and BBQ - the terraced gardens are shaded by Pine, Magnolia, Chestnut & Cherry trees. On site parking is for 2 cars. The village of Giardinetto is 10km north of the historic, pretty thermal spa town of Bagni di Lucca, with its restaurants, shops, bars, swimming pools, tennis courts and riverside walks. We are located in the Appenine mountains with peaks reaching over 1500 metres and very close to the Garfagnana region both excellent Alpine Club walking areas.The ski resort of Abetone is a mere 22 kms away. There is an excellent choice for 'day trips' including the walled city of Lucca (32km), the magic of Florence (Firenze 70 km), Pisa and its leaning tower (52km) , the ancient city of Barga (25km), Strada del Vino (25km), Mediterranean coast (45km), Puccini opera,Apuane Alps and Caves(35km), Nature reserves (12km). Siena, San Gimignano,the Chianti region , the Cinque Terre and much more Staying locally why not explore the mountain/riverside villages and enjoy good value friendly dining out. There is a bar/pizzeria and a grocery store close to the house and regionally acclaimed restaurants nearby.

    We make no additional charge for final cleaning if you leave the apartment tidy.

    Heating is the only additional cost, if required, and charged at local rates.

    DEPOSIT and PAYMENT
    A non refundable deposit of 50% of the rental is payable at the time of booking. The deposit can be paid in either British £, Euros or by PayPal

Abetone - skiing: The second largest ski/snowboarding resort in Italy is a mere 22km away at Abetone. The resort extends over 4 beautiful valleys and has over 80km of ski slopes, some reaching 1900 metres above sea level. Outside of the skiing season this area is very popular with walkers/visitors enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery and experiencing the Alpine Club of Italy walkways.

Golf in Tuscany: There are approximately 20 golf courses to choose from in the region. The nearest are at Montecatini Terme and in the Garfagnana valley, around 1 hour by car from the villetta.

Motor sports: The Ferrari museum is located near Modena in the neighbouring region of Emilia Romagna. A Formula One motor car and motor bike racing circuit is located at Mugello, to the north of Florence.

Other Activities: Orrido natural canyon and reserve is within 10kms of the Villetta
