This elegant apartment is at the first floor (‘’Noble Floor’’) of an ancient ‘Palazzo Lucchese’ (Lucchese building). It is located in airy and sunny situation, just facing the old Walls of Lucca, from where it takes name. The flat is reachable via a huge hall, an elegant original staircase or by elevator. It is approx.80 sqm large, but it looks much bigger because of its high original beamed ceiling (over 4 mt high). The view from the windows is really beautiful: a narrow typical street, a square with its every day life, and specially the Renaissance Walls of the town. The walls, with a length of 4.2 Kms, surround the entire old town and are really the biggest attraction for people who comes to Lucca, and not only...in fact it is the normal walk the locals take in the free time.

The Roman city, the Medieval city, the Renaissance city, the nineteenth century city: traces of all of these may still be found here. A walk through the centre of Lucca becomes an exciting voyage through the centuries, through history. Apart from the significant monuments, such as the sixteenth-seventeenth century walls, Lucca stands out for its atmosphere and lively centre. Thanks to its northern location in Tuscany the beautiful beaches of Viareggio and the renovated 5 Terre are very easily reachable, by train or by car.

The original old beamed ceiling: Has been brought to the light by the recent renovation, a real masterpiece of this flat! From the entrance hall there is access to the salon with the seating area, to the kitchen and to the master bedroom, with its bathroom at next door. The kitchen is equipped of the most modern facilities, i.e. freezer, refrigerator, ovens, 4 stoves, dishwasher and microwave. The second bedroom is reachable via a modern glass-and-iron staircase. This bedroom, an open space from downstairs, is really charming, quite 'bohemian', with a window on the ceiling and a library. The entire flat has been furnished very tastefully with also some original antiques pieces.

Special car rental rates: with the possibility of pick-up at the airport and drive to your property. Excursion to our own Winery in the Chianti area producing excellent wines with visit to the vineyards, the wine cellar and final wine-tastings with the owners. Possibility of guided tours of the town of Lucca, its villas, and special tours in the countryside. Possibility to play golf in four courses at a distance of 25 up to 40 min. drive. Chauffeur with a 8 seats bus available for special tours in the region Access to a private beach club on request Special Tuscan meals prepared by our cook upon your arrival and/or during the week Individual sail boat tours to discover the ' Cinque Terre'.

We spent 4 wonderful days in Lucca in October 2007 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'Palazzo Lucchese'. The owner, Dario, met us on arrival and made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay, and gave us some fantastic restaurant suggestions. The apartment itself is airy, light, modern, quiet and is kitted out with all of the amenities that you could possibly need for your stay. The location of the apartment is perfect. It's situated within the old town, faces the marvellous city walls - an early evening walk is a must - and is just a short stroll away from the main city streets and attractions. We'd thoroughly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Lucca.

lovely lucca

we had a lovely stay in lucca.
The apartment was clean and absolutely stunning and so close to everything we needed. It was lovely to look out the windows at the tree lined walls.
The kitchen had everything we needed for meals in.
There were 3 adults and 1 baby in our group and there was plenty space for us to sit and relax together but struggled when another couple joined us.
The only negatives were:-
The lady who met us at the apartment seemed nice but spoke very little english.
The advert said they had a cot but on arrival we dicovered there wasn't one, and it took 3 or 4 days for dario to get one delivered and once delivered i decided not to use it as it looked rather dirty and dusty, which caused some problems since my baby was 6 months old and had learnt to roll!
There was no info in english about how to use the intercom system so struggled to open the gates and front door!
i would love to stay here again but would bring my own travel cot next time!

A wonderful apartment, so conveniently situated, to all the best restaurants in Lucca and the magnificent city walls.
The kitchen was fully equipped with all the cooking utensils one could possibly imagine. The rooms were light, spacious, clean and airy.
Our teenage daughters had a wonderful time and were able to have their own space (when we were home) on the first floor.
Although this was our fifth holiday in Lucca it was by far the nicest place we have stayed. Dario was a brilliant host, highlighting places of interest that we had missed on previous visits. Highly Recommended.

We were married in Lucca and had the pleasure of renting this apartment while we were there. It has every amenity and convenience which was important as we didn't speak Italian fluently and had trouble finding laundry facilities/groceries in Rome.
Genny and Dario are gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome and secure. We would highly recommend this property - it's close to EVERYTHING. The train station, shopping, and the beautiful view of the town from the wall are all within a short walk.

we enjoyed our stay very much,, it is a very nice appartment, very clean and well maintained, owner was at the end of the phone for any problems, have recommended the appartment to other people, lovely location, in a great spot for walking the walls of a very lovely city.
