Comfortable house in lovely garden setting!

hard to know what to add after all the accolades that this very enjoyable holiday home has already received, but here goes.... in short - house, garden and hosts deliver all that is promised and more! owners were exceedingly helpful throughout the booking procedure. charming, friendly and so kind on and before arrival. truly perfect the hosts....THANKYOU! house is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable. we particularly appreciated the kitchen (hobby cook pleasures await, no half measures here) and tastefully furnished, bright double bedroom with stunning views down to lucca. 2nd bed (twin) equally pleasant but without the stunning views. comfy beds, lovely bedding. plenty of storage space. 2 bathrooms make this is a great place for 2 couples sharing. we enjoyed the rural location very much indeed. altho some may find the narrow mountain roads more challenging...we love em! short zip down to village for fresh baked bread and pastries in the morning....we were lazy and used the car! there are several good restaurants (simple and not so simple) in the vicinity...one at walkable distance and of course many, many more in lucca. hosts are a mine of local info and will let you know all about dining, shopping etc...there´s loads of local info in the house too. plenty of books and radio just in case you should get bored. they are 3 quiet whippets on site. lovely dogs, rather aloof! very nicely furnished terrace for dining and relaxing adjacent to kitchen and lounge. excellent bbq equipment. the terrace is roofed over and shaded by dense vegetation towards valley and olive grove and screened by a stone wall twds road (very little traffic on this road) so altho there are no views from here it is very private and there´s some sun here too in late morning and afternoon. of course the best spot for those sweeping views and soaking up the sun are from the pool and it´s beautiful terraces which are just thru the beautiful garden...indeed it takes some willpower to muster the enthusiasm to do some sightseeing. lucca, pisa, siena, florence, cinque terra and so much more are all very easily accessible from here. just wish we´d stayed longer and had more time for all! is there´s a fly in ointment?just the pack of hunting dogs kept up the road. this is beyond the owners control, but they were so noisy on a 2 evenings to drive us inside. NB...you can hardly hear them IN the house or at pool. so a small problem but not a big issue. YOU `LL LOVE IT HERE!!!!
