Il Terrazzo at Fraia, (pronounced Friar as in Friar Tuck) is probably one of the most peaceful, safest places on earth but is only 10 minutes from the shops and restaurants of Barga, 45 minutes from Lucca and one and a half hours from Pisa airport. The main house and 2 converted barns each have their own kitchen, dining room and sitting areas and there is an open air shared dining Loggia where meals can be shared. There is a beautiful azure infinity pool with jacuzzi and children's paddling pool, huge flat playing area for football, badminton and volley ball, as well as giant chess board, table tennis, table football, basketball net and even space to swing a golf club in the gently terraced garden. It is a perfect place for large groups or extended families to holiday together, as it's size and layout give proximity as well as privacy and independence when needed.

The property is has its own private 100 metre drive and is set on approx. 6000 sq. metres of land which includes its own small chestnut wood. The gardens are gently terraced with fig trees and vines,apple trees, pear trees, fig trees, kiwis, holly trees and walnut trees and a herb garden. The Appenine hills are across the valley and the view from every room in the house as well as from all of the large terraces is stunning. No other houses can be seen from the property, it is tranquillity itself, giving the impression of going back to another era. In front of the house is a 40 metre terrace, which joins all three houses, peppered with terracotta statues and flower filled pots.

There is a beautiful 12x6 azure heated swimming pool with jacuzzi, cascade, childrens paddling pool and solar shower, with a natural stone sun terrace and surround, with beutiful views over the valley. as the house is in an environmenatlly protected area, the pool was designed to fit into the surroundings, and approved by the Belle Arte Committee of Tuscany.
