Casa Cappella is a beautiful old stone house that has been sensitively restored to provide for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The view from the property is spectacular taking in the surrounding hills and the Serchio valley. The lounge, with original features, is furnished in traditional style with views down to Lucca. The elegant dining room leads into a modern, fully fitted kitchen. Original stone stairs lead to the first floor where there is a newly fitted family bathroom. The second bathroom has a large fully tiled shower area. There are four bedrooms, two with views of the valley and hills. The rear lobby, complete with shower room leads onto the terrace where there is an outdoor eating area. Situated beyond the terrace there is a beautiful pool with far reaching views of the surrounding countryside. To the rear of the property, beneath the mature Umbrian Pines, there is an attractive shaded seating area.

Casa Cappella is located in the beautiful hills surrounding the historic city of Lucca. A 16th Century wall completely encircles the city with its delightful narrow streets, medieval buildings and many typically Lucchesian shops. The wall, is popular with tourists and residents for walking, jogging and cycling. In the centre of Lucca there are many restaurants, coffee houses and ‘gelaterias’. The plain of Lucca is surrounded by hills, an ideal location for vineyards and olive groves. The area is also famous for its beautiful historic villas and their gardens with many of these being open to the public.

Notes: There is a piano in the second sitting area for those who like to play. Some music is provided but guests may also wish to bring some of their own. Casa Capella is in a beautiful location - a real getaway. The house is very well euipped and comfortable. We had a lovely family holiday.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: Casa Cappella with its wonderful location has proved to be ideal for family holidays. The view from the terrace never fails to impress especially at night when the lights are twinkling all the way down the valley to Lucca. Watching the little lights of the fireflies in the garden at night has been described by past guests as a magical experience. You too could enjoy the fantastic experience of Tuscan home cooking or a pizza evening on the terrace both of which can be booked on arrival. Previous guests have all commented positively on these and also on the friendly and welcoming manner in which they were received on arrival.
Lisa and her family were delightful guests and we were pleased to hear that they had enjoyed Casa Cappella enough to write such a positive review of their stay.

Amazing private villa in Tuscany!

Casa Capella is a magnificant getaway spot, and surpassed all of our expectations. The villa is situated at the very top of the hillside, overlooking the beautiful Tuscan landscape, homes, and towns below.

The description doesn't begin to describe all of its beauty and charm. The views from the property (especially at night when all lit up) were absolutely breathtaking.

The home is very charming, and we very much enjoyed the use of the large pool, trampoline, beautiful grounds, etc. The villa even has it's very own church.

We thoroughly enjoyed eating at the local bar, which is a pituresque 15-20 minute walk from the property. Not only was the food amazing (and very reasonably priced), but getting a first hand look at the local culture and community, is something that we felt very lucky to have experienced - we only wished we had gone sooner!

The villa is situated in a very good spot to explore other surrounding areas like the mountainous region of Garfagnana (Barga, especially was a very beautiful town), Lucca, Cinque Terre, Pisa, etc.

The villa was clean, well cared for, provided all the ammenities needed, and felt very homey.

A highlight of the experience was the authentic Italian dinner that was cooked for us by Casa Capella's housekeeper Christina. It is an absolute must (make sure you come hungry!) Christina must have been preparing for 2 days straight to have made that fantastic meal.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Capella, and hopefully we will be lucky enough to find ourselves there again.
