The property is arranged on two floors and it is located in a recently renovated typical, ancient courtyard, just beside the owner's property. Centino house is furnished in a warm and cosy way & you will feel surely at home there! On the ground floor you can find the entrance, which leads directly into the living room. There you can find a sofa bed, a fireplace, table+chairs, TV+satellite, bookcase, tiled stove, etc. On the ground floor there are also a big dining room (table+5 chairs) with kitchen area, equipped by oven, 5 ring stove, fridge/freezer, grill, microwave, dish washer. Next by the kitchen there's a store with washing machine. From the kitchen you enter directly the outside area, on the back side of the property, where you can find a covered portico with table+chairs+barbecue grill & private garden, where you can relax yourself and enjoy a wonderful view among olive groves. On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Parking is just outside the property.

• 1) The rentals rate above include: electricity + water consumption, 1 set of towels per person per week, bed linen, final cleaning.
  2) Caution money (deposit) = 150 Euros (it can be requested at your arrival and given you back at your departure in case of no damage).
  3) Central heating to paid in loco according to consumption.
  4) Standard arrival time = between 3.00 and 5.00 p.m.
  5) Standard departure time = by 10.00 a.m.
  6) Different arrival and departure times can be agreed separately during the rental negotiation.

LUCCA: heritage and tourist attractions

Lucca, only 7km far from Centino House, is one of the most beautiful towns in Tuscany and is very famous for its perfectly preserved town walls, for its churches and important monuments, such as S. Martino Cathedral, S. Michele and S. Frediano Churches, the Amphitheatre Square, Guinigi Tower and Torre delle Ore (where you can enjoy a wonderful view of Lucca plain). The most important street of Lucca is called Via Fillungo and it is well known for its elegant shops. In Porta Giannotti, just inside the city centre, it is possible to hire bicycles to ride around the walls (a track about 4 km long), among trees, green and ancient ruins. Lucca has got a monthly antiques market (on the 3rd Saturday / Sunday of each month) and an ordinary market twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday mornings). In September Lucca hosts a village fair and just outside the city centre you can find an amusement park. The typical cake of Lucca is called 'Buccellato'. Its oil is excellent and its wine very tasty.

OTHER CITIES OF TUSCANY

You can also spend your time enjoying short-break holidays visiting other interesting places around Tuscany. FLORENCE is an important city of rt and it is only 40 minutes' drive far from Lucca. Places of interest are: the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Churches, Piazzale Michelangelo and Viale dei Colli, which dominate the whole city of Florence. Other attractions of Florence are Uffizi Museum, Ponte Vecchio and 'Lungarno', the way beside Arno river, where you can find lots of stalls and buy souvenirs. PISA is about 30 minutes' drive far and a one-day stay in Pisa could include a visit to the world-famous Piazza dei Miracoli, with its extraordinary monuments: the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Churchyard and the Leaning Tower. SIENA is about 1 hour's drive away. It is very famous for its 'Palio' (horses' ride) and Chianti wine. Its streets are narrow and medieval and there is a single church for each 'Contrada'. Places of interest are: Piazza del Campo, the Cathedral, Fortezza Medicea

SURROUNDINGS

It is also recommended to make trips to Garfagnana, among the sharp tops of Alpi Apuane and the hilly ones of Appenines, visiting Borgo a Mozzano, with its famous 'Bridge of the Devil', Bagni di Lucca, famous for its little statues, Barga, Castelnuovo Garfagnana and relaxing on the green fields of Argegna, more than 1000 m. on the sea level. A very famous ski resort is ABETONE, in the colder area, about an hour's drive far from Lucca. VERSILIA is the most famous seaside resort where you can enjoy and relax on the beach of Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and Lido di Camaiore. Viareggio has got a well known carnival in February. From Versilia it is possible, in particular periods, to make trips to 'Le Cinque Terre' (Liguria) and Elba Island.
