This holiday location is particularly suitable for 2 families travelling together. The main wing Grande Prato sleeps 6 people. The extra wing has room for another 5+1 people. The two wings are autonomous from one another: they are both fully furnished and have separate entrances and seated outdoor areas. These areas are at a distance from one another and therefore provide a high level of privacy. But guests can rent the main wing Grande Prato only if wished. This property lies in a quiet area and the house is pleasantly cool during the summer.

• Security deposit, water, electricity, gas, heating, house cleaning, additional bed to be paid in euros on the premises:
  Security deposit: EUR 500 per unit. Water, electricity, gas up to 5 m3, house cleaning: EUR 100 set price per week per unit year-round.
  Gas / heating: up to 5 m3 included in the above mentioned set price; if more than 5 m3 (probably only necessary during the colder months when central heating is used) metered / EUR 5 per m3.
  Additional bed (in Piccolo) if maximum capacity PAX is exceeded: EUR 100 per week.
  Baby bed if maximum capacity PAX is exceeded: EUR 50 per week.

Grande Prato - the garden

The property is around 900 m2, with this delightful red house standing in the middle. The green shutters contrast well with the fresh red of the walls. At the back of the house, you will find a large, neat lawn with several trees and flower beds. The property is fenced in and the garden is surrounded by a thick hedge – providing a secluded and private atmosphere. From the garden visitors have views of the Apuanic Alps. GRANDE PRATO has a lovely covered veranda with sofas and a large marble table along the long, garden side of the house. Views of the green lawn make this the ideal place to spend those long summer evenings. The ADDITIONAL WING has a seated area under a large linen umbrella at the side of the house. However, the marble table on the veranda has room for 10 people to enjoy a meal together – after which the two parties can retire to the privacy of their own quarters. The best of both worlds!

Grande Prato - surroundings

In nearby Forte dei Marmi you are greeted by an impressive backdrop: the long, white sandy beach bordered at the back by the mighty Apuanic Alps. Michelangelo even selected his blocks of marble from among the Forte dei Marmi marble quarries. These are still in operation but Forte dei Marmi is now better known as a bathing resort – one of the most famous beaches in Tuscany, where VIPs have their summer villas and mix (more or less) incognito with the many visitors. The coast is full of many different restaurants (with fish as a specialty), while in the mountains beyond, you will find many meat and mushroom dishes. Those looking for empty beaches will find them only a short walk away (1400 m). Lovers of hidden rocky shores will need to drive down further south but the journey is soon covered along the Via Aurelia. Alpi Apuane is the name of the up to 2000 m high mountains behind Carrara – a paradise for mountain bikers and trekking tours. Grocery shop 500 m, next Supermarket 5 km far.
