The house itself is 200 sm and its private garden is 2000 sm. The swimming pool (10,5x4,5, max. dep. 1,50m), which has got a warm water shower and does not contain any chlorine but just salt, for the optimal PH values, warrants healthy relaxing hours. Ground floor: a roomy area with a complete kitchen, a dining room with a big table and a living room with a divan bed; 1 double room & 1 shower & wc room. First floor: a kitchen with a large covered and fully furnished veranda; 3 bedrooms and a bathroom with tub and a hand held shower nozzles.

Notes to the rental rates

  • SPECIAL OFFER: in the low season if you book at least 2 weeks you get 10% discount on the given rates. I will do my best in order to make your Italian experience an unforgettable one and so I personally will be reachable 24 hours a day on my handy for suggestions, tips, help or whatever else you may need during your stay in my house.
  • IMPORTANT REMARKS: the given rates include water, gas and the change once a week of the linen, which are: bed and table linen, 2 towels plus a larger one for each person + tea clothes. On request the change can follow more often at the cost for each time of Euros 10 per person. Not included are heating and electricity, which have to be paid cash according to the amount consumed. Final cleaning: Euros 100,00 to be paid cash on arrival day (compulsory). A daily cleaning service is also not included but it may be requested at Euro 15 for each hour. Pets: Extra-charge of Euros 50 per week/pet. Security deposit: Euros 500 to be given cash at the delivery of the keys on arrival day. It will be returned on the departing day, with deduction of the amount due for eventual damages. Gas/heating: metered, Euro 5 per m3. Additional bed if maximum capacity of 12 persons is exceeded: Euro 100 per week. Baby bed if maximum capacity is exceeded: Euro 50 per week.

With a separate entrance the ground floor also has got a small apartment with kitchenette, 2 single beds & a bathroom with tub and wc. In the house there is also 1 comfortable divan bed in the big dining room with fireplace and wood-burning oven (twin).

Notes:

Air-conditioning is not necessary, as the sun during the day is not able to overheat the inside of the house. Furthermore on the top of this hill there is always a gentle sea breeze which makes the air pleasantly cool. On request we can manage for you a daily maid service and also organize special dinners, wine tastings or cooking classes in the villa - just for you! - with qualified chefs and sommeliers. We think that during your stay you shouldn't miss the opportunity to learn how to bake the original Italian Pizza in our wood burning oven!

A Wonderful Getaway for a Perfect Tuscan Holiday

The house corresponded exactly to what we were looking for - calm, quiet, beautiful views of the Tuscan country - not to mention the wonderful hospitality of Sonia and her family. When we arrived quite famished from our flight, waiting for us at the house was freshly made pasta, bread, cheese and many other munchies. Later in the week a fresh homemade apple pie was delivered to us - both gestures were a really nice touch. The house itself is located at the top of a steep, narrow road, just above a small village where you can load up on grocery supplies and get fresh cheese, bread, ham and sausages, wine as well as the staples such as coffee and milk. Another great bonus is that the village restaurant is owned by Sonia's family, so they'll see to it that you are treated like royalty. The food is delicious. But back to the house. It overlooks a beautiful valley and to the sea in the far horizon. A wonderful and well-maintained pool is the perfect place for those warm/hot Tuscan days. It's just the right size. Inside the house, everything is impeccably clean and has all you need to cook or just lounge about. Wonderful bedrooms have views over the valley and there is a spacious bathroom on the main level - downstairs are more bedrooms and bathrooms, though we didn't use them. If you're like us, you'll probably spend most of your time on the gorgeous terrace, munching on foccacia, chased by a glass of chilled pinot grigio while looking out over the valley, wishing the villa was your permament vacation home. Location-wise, you're only a 20-minute drive from Lucca, a wonderful town for shopping or having lunch at one of the many cafes. There are many other wonderful towns to visit nearby. We would definitely recommend a stay here. We'll certainly be back. - Stephen and Cynthia
