This villa, built in the eighteenth century as a shooting lodge for a local noble family, is situated on a hill overlooking the surrounding valley of Lucca. The views of the plain of Lucca from the house and the garden are spectacular. The villa is elegantly furnished with some antiques. The staff lives on the top floor with its own totally separate entrance and driveway, so in no way interfering with client's privacy. The villa has recently been tastefully restored, retaining the original beamed ceilings and using antique cotto floor tiles. At the same time, it is very well equipped with all modern comforts. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.

The lovely grape-covered pergola: which stretches right in the garden in front of the house, furnished with table and chairs and barbecue, is ideal for al fresco meals. In addition, there is a beautiful swimming pool and a terraced garden full of flowers, lemons, and fruit trees. The location of this lovely property is 20 minutes’ drive from the beaches and just 10 minutes from the town of Lucca and 15 minutes from the nearest motorway entrance, making day trips to the many sights of Tuscany an easy possibility. Maid service is included in the price, 3 times per week for 3 hours per day. A clever cook is available for cooking on request.

Special car rental rates with the possibility of: pick-up at the airport and drive to your property. Excursion to our own Winery in the Chianti area producing excellent wines with visit to the vineyards, the wine cellar and final wine-tastings with the owners. Possibility of guided tours of the town of Lucca, its villas, and special tours in the countryside. Possibility to play golf in four courses at a distance of 25 up to 40 min. drive. Chauffeur with a 8 seats bus available for special tours in the region Access to a private beach club on request Special Tuscan meals prepared by our cook upon your arrival and/or during the week.

We are seasoned visitors to Italy and our 2-week stay in Dario Villa remains the number one highlight in our memories. From the serene location on the vineyard-covered hillside to the easy access to Lucca and connections to the surrounding areas, including Florence, we were ideally situated.
The Villa was well-equipped with a kitchen suited for preparation of complete meals if so desired. A television with English channels satisfied our need to keep up with world events.
Walking from the gate to the front door, you pass a picnic table nestled in a grapevine covered arbor, a crystal clear swimming pool and an amazing aroma of various herbs.
Dario and his staff could not have been more hospitable. Our introductory meeting with him answered all of our questions. His recommendations for best shopping and restaurants proved invaluable.
We would gladly return for another visit.
