Stunning location, pool and one apartment in lovingly restored house

Casa Cucule lies off the beaten track, in the Chianti wine region. It nestles on a hillside just below the tiny hamlet of San Vincenti with beautiful views over a hidden valley across to the typical Tuscan hilltop village of Montebenichi. There is only one apartment for rent at Cucule; it was our home before the rest of the house was finally restored in 2003. This simple farmhouse, bought in 1991 but originally built in the 1800’s, has been lovingly restored, literally from ruins, using traditional Tuscan materials including chestnut beams and terracotta ceiling and floor tiles. The interior of the apartment reflects the traditional country style of the house and includes many finds from my trips to India and Africa as a textile designer. It also has up-to-date modern appliances and high quality fixtures and fittings. From the wonderful smell of lavender and other herbs planted around the house, to the eclectic furnishings that decorate the rooms inside, Casa Cucule is truly a home.

Notes to the rental rates

• Absolutely everything is included in rental:
  · electricity
  · gas for cooking, hot water and heating (required in Winter months and cooler mornings and evenings from October to April )
  · weekly supply of clean bed linen, bath, kitchen and swimming towels
  · a generous ‘welcome pack’ of groceries to make an evening meal and breakfast
  · final cleaning
  
• Returnable security deposit of € 200 to be paid on arrival and will be reimbursed on departure, after inspection
  of the property.
  
• Christmas dates and rates can be flexible.

The NEW infinity edge 15m x 5.50m pool set among olives groves with great views is shared only with us, the owners, and only one of us swims. The deep end is 2.40m, great for diving into to cool off.

Booking conditions & Payment

Terms of payment - 30% of total payment to be paid with booking. The balance to be paid on arrival. 100% payment on booking if 6 weeks or less before rental starts. On payment of deposit directions will be sent on how to get to the property. Returnable deposit - € 200 to be paid on arrival, it will be reimbursed after inspection of the property on departure. Booking - From Saturday afternoon to the following Saturday morning. Arrival - 16.00 to 19.00 Departure latest 10.30 Other times by arrangement. Included in rental - Electricity, gas for cooking and hot water, 1 weeks supply of clean bed linen, bath and kitchen towels and a ‘welcome pack’ of essential groceries to make an evening meal and breakfast. Final cleaning – Guests are requested to leave the property tidy, and in good order on their departure (fridge empty, garbage taken away, beds stripped).
