The apartment is located in the Crete Senesi, 15kms south-west of Siena. It has extensive undisturbed views across the Tuscan countryside and to the skyline of Siena. Shopping at Taverne D'Arbia 7km or the medieval town Asciano 10kms. Only 30km from the wine area of Montalcino where the famous Brunello wine is produced. Rapolano Terme (thermal baths) 18kms; southern Chianti area 15kms. The area is not touristy, you will find yourself surrounded by local farmers and people from local towns that visiting the countryside on the weekend.

Postion on a hilltop, with farms surrounding.: Position amongst the countryside surrounded by olive groves. Spectacular views towards Siena and Monte Amiata (highest mountain in Tuscany). Traditional Tuscan landscape with rolling hills and cypress trees.

Absolutely wonderful. The apartment is fantastic and really well equipped with everything we needed. Loved sitting outside and enjoying some Italian wine amongst the lavender and incredible views of the Tuscan countryside. So peaceful. Did lots of day trips and Sienna only 15k away. Best local town was Asciano which we only visited on last day - great feel and nice variety of shops, cafes, restaurants. Our 4yr old son loved swimming every day - weather was a bit cold for me to swim! Running through the tuscan farm country was great way to start the day. Tuscan food delicious. Loved the pizza, pasta and gelato. Thanks Carmelina.

We almost hesitate to tell anybody about this property as we enjoyed it so much. Its setting is idyllic in terms of peace and quiet as well as the rich collection of creatures, wild flowers, well-maintained garden and general scenery. It is within easy reach (by car) for travel to Siena and surrounding villages, towns and cities in Tuscany and Umbria. A very adequate and friendly & helpful Co-op supermarket is situated in Taverne D'Arbia and the owner has made available excellently prepared and researched notes as well as guides and maps to provide ways of enyoying the locality. Good and comparatively simple Italian food is prepared with TLC by the restrauteurs in the area.

We absolutely loved this apartment. It was a stunning property in the middle of wonderful countryside and was exactly what we were looking for for a relaxing break. It was handily close to Siena but still felt like we were enough in the country to be properly isolated. The interior had been beautifully restored and the garden was lovely too - there was a lovely table and chairs outside in the shade that was great for eating lunch. I would go back in a heartbeat - highly recommended!
