Positioned south-east of Siena this spacious 4 bedroom apartment has much to offer. It has been sympathetically developed the house which is located in a small rural hamlet. The quality of the fittings is excellent, with most of the apartment interior being brand new. The hamlet is located in the heart of the ‘Crete Senese’, the wonderful ‘moonlike’ landscape to the south of Siena. In the hamlet are farm buildings, and you will have the chance to mix with the locals. The setting is beautiful, with views over the rolling hills in every direction. There is a further terrace area where you can barbecue and enjoy the ever changing landscape.

There is ample wardrobe and drawer space in each room and separate sets of towels are provided for individual guest.

Notes: The large kitchen well-equipped, clad in black granite work surface. A wood-burning stove not only provides background heat but is also a convenient and fast way of cooking and there is an ample supply of wood in a nearby hut. Lounge/dining room is more formal contains antique Italian dressers, a dining table and six chairs as well as more comfortable lounge chairs. A powerful boiler with a large hot water tank and supplementary cold water tank ensures a constant supply of desalinated water during the summer months. There is ample garage space (one double; one single) a few metres from the house as well as a large open-air parking space adjacent to the house.

A large L-shaped covered terrace wraps around the house with four archways facing Siena and two facing the Tuscan hills and surrounding olives groves. Containing a long table and seating for eight people, this provides a very pleasant al fresco dining area in the spring and summer. Access to the hamlet is along a ‘white road’ – approximately 1km off the main Siena–Asciano road. The surrounding area is perfect for walking and cycling also an idyllic spot for those who want to relax and enjoy a tranquil holiday With Siena just a short drive away and the marvels of the Crete Senese to discover, this is a great base to explore this region. Should you wish to use a swimming pool, the owner has made arrangements with a nearby agriturismo, and guests can use the pool free of charge (approximately 2km away).

The farmhouse was more than we every imagined - spacious yet homely with all the mod cons. The outside area where we ate most meals looked all the way out to Siena from one window and the other was through the olive groves and fields where the sheep grazed. The recently built pagoda provided a 360 degree view of the Tuscan hills and was a must for every sunset.

The farmhouse was located about 20 minutes from Siena by car but was great to be away from civilisation and in the countryside of Tuscany. The immediate areas surrounding the farmhouse had plenty to offer with lots of small towns and weekend markets. And the Monte Olivet Maguire Abbey is a must see. We were able to do plenty of day trips all over Tuscany and Umbria as well.

This property is perfect for adults and families with a car and wanting to get away from big cities.

The owner even called in advance to ensure we had everything we needed and the manager of this property went out of her way to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible.

Perfect Tuscan Vacation House!

What a fabulous property! The views in every direction are breathtaking; we loved just sitting outside and looking around us. It is in the middle of the Tuscan countryside and a perfect house for getting away from the hustle and bustle and just relaxing. The house is lovely and had everything we could have needed. The bedrooms are large and well furnished; the kitchen has everything one could possibly want. We easily prepared full meals for the whole group and were even able to grill outside. The town with the nearest grocery store is 15 minute drive and was fully stocked. There are markets in the nearby towns almost every day of the week so we never had trouble finding fresh produce and other goodies. It is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding towns.
