Luxuriously renovated duplex apartment in the heart of the charming Tuscan hilltop village of Radicondoli. 170 square meters (1800 square feet), two double bedrooms, three baths, an office/studio, a small terrace with a fantastic view of the surrounding countryside. Original 14th century details - wall niches, ceiling beams and terracotta floors - blended with contemporary design. Convivial marble countertop island kitchen with dishwasher and cooking fireplace; antique furniture; sofa bed in living room; washing machine. 30 to 75 minute drives to Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Colle Val d'Elsa, San Galgano, and the beach.   • The bottom bedroom has an old wrought-iron bed and a magnificent view of the valley. The top bedroom is more modern in feel, and is part of the airy, bright and loft-like top floor which has a skylight and large glass wall. The living room is near the top bedroom and separated from it by the stair landing, which requires one step down (so it's not ideal for very small children to sleep alone). Upon special request a crib can be made available.

Notes: There is a small office/studio near the kitchen. Currently there is a large table in it, and it can be used for writing or artwork. It is dark however since it was originally intended for use as a photographic darkroom. The refrigerator is half size, not mini, and there is also a separate freezer. There is an ipod dock sound system in the apartment for playing music. Children are welcome but renters must beware of the open stairwell and steps both upstairs and down. The fireplace is near the kitchen and it is large enough for grilling. Wood can be obtained. Wireless internet access is available at a nearby restaurant. No telephone. The apartment will be delivered clean and ready to occupy with towels, bed linens and soap. If you would like to hire the cleaning lady to come during your stay as well this can easily be arranged at 8 Euros per hour. The village has plenty of parking space nearby.
