Come and relax in this delightful hill-top cottage. Small shops and three excellent restaurants are within walking distance. Sinalunga is placed in the centre of the wine area, 30 mins. to Siena, 20 mins to Montepulciano, 25 mins to Pienza. There is also a good bus and train service. Upon your arrival we welcome you with local products and you will certainly forget the tiredness of your journey!

Sinalunga is ideally placed to see the rest of Tuscany. Only half an hours drive from the magical city of Siena, 20 mins Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, Arezzo and the Trasimeno Lake. Also, this area is famous for the wine and the food. Come and sample both - you may be slightly fatter afterwards but certainly not disappointed!

Sinalunga (Centro Storico): This is the ideal base for exploring Tuscany. Not only are we near Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza and Cortona, but it's only 30 minutes drive to Lake Trasimeno. You could take a boat across the lake and have lunch on one of the islands. Then have a pizza sitting by the lake in the evening. Or there's Monte Oliveto, 25 minutes away, an old monestry with wonderful frescoes and another excellent restaurant where you can sit outside and have breakfast, lunch and dinner served to you while sitting under an umbrella looking out across the gardens. And the wine, ummm, it's nectar, that's the only word for it. I look forward to meeting you.

We had a very enjoyable week in the cottage. It's full of charm and character, has everything you need and the patio area is lovely for sitting out in the evenings and watching life go by. The air conditioned bedroom (with its great views) was a real bonus for cool and comfortable siestas! Sinalunga, is well positioned for touring Tuscany with easy access to Siena and Florence, as well as numerous very pretty hill towns such as Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino. We intend to go back to Tuscany and will definitely book this lovely cottage again.

A wonderful time in and amazing place

What can I say??? My wife and I had always wondered what was behind the doors in these small little villages well now we know. On arrival we where met by Chiara at the train station and we followed her up to the little door in the wall on entering we where blowen away with the simplicity and the romance of where we had chosen to stay. The place was imaculate and clean and just so Italian. We could not have wanted for anything more. The surrounding town of Sinalunga is wonderfull and the local people where so friendly and every one seem to know where we where staying. And of an evening it was nice to walk up to the town square and have icecream and watch the local old boys play cards and watch the world go by.

The surrounding area has so much to offer the traveller from small romantic villages to large cosmopolotin towns and all so easy to get around.

I would recconmend Chiara's place to any couple who want a romantc get away as well as a good base to sight see the local country side from.

We stayed here for a week in July 2008. The cottage is full of character and became a real home away from home. The air conditioned bedroom was lovely and the kitchen/dining area which is the main living area also stayed really cool.

The cottage is ideally placed to explore Tuscany, we hired a car to visit the hill towns - Montepulciano, Pienza etc., the Chianti area, San Gimigano and Cortona. Then we took the bus to visit Siena, after we left here we took the train up to Florence to continue our holiday.

I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing location, within easy reach of the many beautiful towns and villages and countryside of the area.
