Immaculately restored, this roomy stone villa has a scenic location on a country road near the ancient town of Montaione which has Etruscan origins. Your neighbours are the hospitable owners. After their welcome, you’ll probably make for the pool or the covered terrace and, perhaps with a glass of wine, luxuriate in the views of billowing hills and their quilt of woods and cornfields. Inside, the Villa uncluttered comfort is totally relaxing. The textures of old wood, white walls and soft pink tiles set the style. The large, arched ground floor, with its dining area opening onto the terrace, is especially pleasing – and so are the superbly equipped kitchen and modern shower rooms. Your main food shopping can be done in Montaione (6km), which has an historic centre and a variety of little shops and restaurants.
