Tuscan villa rental: charming house, rolling hills, near to facilities, 9-12 ppl

The villa exceeded our expectations, it was prettier even than pictured.
The bedrooms are large, the beds comfortable, the livingroom cozy, the kitchen fully equipped and then some. And the art on the walls was a joy. The landlady was so sweet that at first it was hard to believe through emails, but she really is a total sweetheart. She knows the area, can direct you to archaeological sights and to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed cooking dinner at the villa since we were there with children. The boys, 12 and 5, loved their stay at the villa. We were four adults, six in all.
I cannot praise Podere Sionne enough, I would go back tomorrow, we all would, and I highly recommend it, especially for families with children. I have Parkinson's Disease and found the villa very convenient in all ways. The showers are easy to enter and exit. Both the front and back patios are inviting in good weather, the view is typically Tuscan. We were there the first week of April, and sat outside almost every day.
For us the location was perfect.Ciusi has a fine Etruscan museum and you can enter Etruscan tombs outside town. It is a short drive to Montepulciano, Montalcino, Paenza, and Siena is also quite close.
The butcher in Ciusi sells magnificent Florentine beef steak, the green grocer trims your fennel roots for you when you buy them. It is a lovely little town. The restaurant up the street from the museum ( sorry, didn't save the name) is extremely child friendly and the food is very very good,
In short, we would not have changed a thing, It was a glorious week in a lovely setting, and the villa was perfect.
The landlady is an excellent cook, do not miss the chance to order at least one meal cooked for you. The food is reasonably priced, more than plentiful and truly delicious.
