The farmhouse is immersed in the fields, woods, olive groves & vineyards of our estate in the north-western part of Tuscany. It has been realized restoring the old abandoned peasants' house, whose architecture was typically rural, with stables on the ground floor & 2 external staircases leading to first floor accommodation, which consists of 2 dwellings. Today the farmhouse has been renovated into two independent apartments, trying though to remain as faithful as possible to the original structure. Being set on top of a gentle hill, the apartments enjoy a stunning panorama. There is a large garden, a 12x6 mt swimming pool & a dedicated area to eat outside, complete with a barbecue of exclusive use of the house. The beautiful landscape that you can see from the windows is still rich of wildlife that you can appreciate having long walks along the paths crossing the whole area. Biking, riding & bird watching are the other exciting sports that you may practice in this 'piece of Eden'.

Il Monte is an independent first floor apartment of a restored old farmhouse, ideal to host 10 people. The name 'Il Monte', means THE MOUNT because of its location, on the top of a gentle hill from where you can enjoy a stunning panorama. It has got a living room with a big fire place, 5 spacious and comfortable bedrooms, all furnished with traditional Tuscan furniture, 4 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped, with dishwasher and a ventilated oven. In the restored stable on the ground floor, there is a table tennis, and on the other side the washing machine that you may use under request. There is a large garden all around the house and olive groves. From the swimming pool, that is 12x6 metres, you can reach an inkling of the sea. There is a well -equipped area to eat outside with a barbecue.

  is the 20% of the total rate, to give one month before your arrival. In case of last minute it will be the 50% of the total rate.
  CANCELLATIONS:
  Up to three weeks before arrival, we can cancel reservations free of charge.
  With cancellations at a shorter notice you have to pay:
  - cancellation as from and including day 21 up to day 14 before arrival: 60% of the total rate.
  - cancellation as from and inckuding day 14 up to day 7 before arrival: 75% of the total rate.
  - cancellation day 7 up to the day of arrival: 90%.
  - cancellation the day of arrival: 100%.

The estate currently extends over approximately 865 acres with 45 acres of vineyards, 50 acres of olive groves, 370 acres of cereals, 370 acres of wood and poplars groves. The woods are still rich of wildlife: hawks, buzzards, bee eaters, pheasants, hares and roes the t you can appreciate having long walks along the paths crossing the whole area. After the wine the second activity of our property is the production of olive of oil.From 2003 the Tenuta di Ghizzano extra virgin olive oil is officially certified both, organic and Tuscan IGP. It has a splendid balance between flavour and delicacy and it can therefore be used for both delicate and savoury dishes. OLIVE- three variety: Frantoio, Razzo e Leccino. OLIVE PRESSING- cold and continuous cycle pressing within 24 hours from harvest.

VENEROSO IGT Tuscan Red Wine This is the historic wine of the Estate, and the most representative one as well. It was first produced in 1985 and interprets – with its length and elegance – the territory which gave birth to it, whose character it embodies Grape varieties: 60% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon Ageing: 16 months in 225 lt. French oak casks and 12 months in bottle before being released NAMBROT IGT Tuscan Red Wine. Named for the fouder of the family line, who lived during the epoch of “Charles the Great”. It is, a research project, a wine which allows us to enrich with new concepts and techniques the viticulture history of our region. Grape varieties: 70% Merlot, 20%cabernet Sauvignon, 10%Petit Verdot Ageing: 18 months in 225 lt. French oak casks.
