Farmhouse il Gufo in San Marcello Pistoiese (Tuscany, between Florence and Lucca), is a perfectly restored Villa that respects the traditional architecture of the Tuscan farmhouses, with antique furniture and rustic interior features selected to maintain the warm atmosphere of the past. The external and internal stone walls and wooden ceilings are in total harmony with the Tuscan surroundings. Each of the apartments allows you to dine and relax in a sitting room, with fully-equipped kitchen and open fireplace. . The 16 metre swimming pool is built into the side of the mountain and follows the natural curves of the environment to enhance the rural characteristics of the farm. From here there are picturesque views of the valley and surrounding villages.

The village of San Marcello Pistoiese is 650 metres above sea level and it is at five minute drive to the farmhouse (1 km of gravel street), 30 minute drive to Pistoia and Lucca and 50 minutes drive to Florence, making it easy to enjoy leisurely day trips to the artistic centres of Italy. In the village you can find many shops, restaurants, pubs an so on. You may also take advantage of the local country side with its ancient villages, or by making sports like for example trekking, horse riding, cycling or paragliding.

| Notes: | These are the characteristics of Casa Fienile which is one of the 4 apartments available at the farmhouse. The other pictures are on my web site, please contact me for details (total 60 sqm) : (sleeps 2-4) . Large dining/sitting room, with kitchen, open stone fireplace and sofa bed (42 sqm) + 1 double bedroom (12 sqm) + 1 bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet and basin. Stone walls, high wooden ceilings with exposed beams, tiled kitchen with electric oven, four fire stove, refrigerator, freezer and basin. Controlled heating. Private entrance. Veranda with wooden roof and baked tiled floor (25sqm). Private garden with outdoor furniture and fence (about 40 sqm). The sitting/dining room of 'Fienile' was originally used as the hayloft of the farmhouse, which is above the old stable. |
