In the heart of the Maremma Tuscany countryside, 30min.by car from the seaside, catered farm holiday Country House, set in its own grounds, in a nature reserve with a delightful swimming pool. Podere Santa Teresa offers its own organic Maremma produce and the best of Italian cuisine in a welcoming family atmosphere. Some Farmhouse specialities: home made jams from our own strawberries and apricot trees. The farmhouse offers 2 suites and 1 double room, each with its own little garden; the Turquoise Country suite (king size bed and single bed with kitchen corner and bathroom), the Sky Blue Country Suite (king size bed, two singles, kitchen corner and bathroom) and the White double room with bathroom on the ground floor. The Green double room with king size bed, the Yellow Family Room with king size bed and 1/2 singles, and the Blue room with double bed, and two bathrooms are on the first floor.The catered farmhouse is furnished in traditional Italian country style with various antiques.

Our beautiful region lies in the Strada del Vino where you can taste famous wines such as 'Morellino di Scansano' and 'Bianco di Pitigliano' in their own vineyards. The area offers fascinating trips from both nature and the world of culture: on the way to the Saturnia Spa Health Complex, you can drop in to the Etruscan site of Sovana and the medieval villages of Pitigliano and Sorano. Close by, is Siena, Montalcino (to taste the famous 'Brunello' wine), Pienza and Bagno Vignoni. On your way to the spectacular coastline (miles of sandy beaches and shady pinewoods) is the delightful village of Castiglione della Pescaia or the National Park of Uccellina with Marina di Alberese. You mustn't miss interesting archaeological sites such as Roselle, Vetulonia and Cosa. Nearby Capalbio and a visit to the 'evocative' Tarocchi Sculpture Garden, is a must.

I am reluctant to write a review of this fabulous place because I wish to keep it a secret to ensure availability for myself for future dates.Suzanna does a wonderful job in providing a relaxing and homely atmosphere with her great traditional home cooking, with all her guests eating and talking toghether al fresco under the pergola.
I have made friends for life at Suzanna's table.
