It’s located between Castel Del Piano and Seggiano, famous for its olive oil, on the slopes of Monte Amiata. The local produce is fresh and good and there are many interesting restaurants nearby. An opportunity to explore and to get away from it all.

About the house:

This stone house is typical of the traditional local construction: it’s built on three levels with thick walls of the local granite, called “peperino,” which keep the house pleasantly cool when it’s hot outside. The ceilings have large wood beams and the floors are of hand-made, terracotta tiles. There is no need to go further than the garden if you want to relax and enjoy fantastic weather throughout the summer. The garden is for your private use, and you can stretch out under the pergola with a book, or just lie in the sun and listen to birdsong.

The South of Tuscany has been somewhat overlooked as many tourists are attracted to the famous art centres in the area around Florence. Monte Amiata is, for this reason, an unspoiled rural Tuscan environment. Here you’ll find excellent food, beautiful scenery, superb wines, delicious tap water and clean mountain air. Situated three kilometres from the medieval hilltop village of Seggiano. This region produces an excellent quality of olive oil from the Seggiano Olivastra olive tree which only grows in this area. The local 'Montecucco' wine, also, is highly recommended. Most restaurants and shops in this area provide locally grown products, such as wild boar, pecorino cheese and porcini mushrooms.

Getting there:

Arriving by car from the north of Italy you leave the motorway at Chiusi. This is just an hour from Tepolini. Directions for the road can be provided.
