Casa Chiara is a traditional Umbrian 17th century stone farmhouse set in the picturesque Umbrian hills on the border with Tuscany, promising privacy with truly incredible views. It is situated between Cortona and Umbertide with Gubbio & Assisi to the East, Lake Trasimeno to the South-West, Perugia to the South and Florence an hour and half away to the North. Our farmhouse is carefully restored, well equipped, furnished in traditional style and offers a tranquil rural retreat, yet is ideally placed for visits to Umbrian and Tuscan major tourist centers. the swimming pool, 12 x 6m, depth 1.50m is exclusive to guests at 'Casa Chiara'

THE FARMHOUSE : (300m2) is laid out over two floors. On the ground floor the kitchen the laundry a bathroom the dining-room and the living-room with a huge fireplace. All the rooms downstairs have an exit on the garden. An internal chestnut-wood stair leads on the first floor, there you are going to find two bathrooms and four bedrooms with panoramic views over hillsides of pasture and woodland. All the rooms downstairs and upstairs have splendid high ceilings with exposed chestnut beams. The large outside area is totally fenced and has a terrace. Please note that there'll be no other visitors or owners staying at the property during your visit. Yes, you are renting the entire farmhouse. Pool: the swimming pool (with hot-tub) 12 x 6m, depth 1.50m is exclusive to guests at 'Casa Chiara'

Tennis available in Mercatale di Cortona, all water sports are available at Lake Trasimeno. There is an excellent, well marked, trekking path which goes around the hills of Lake Trasimeno, this is also good for mountain biking, although we do not provide mountain bikes. Golf, horse riding and pool available in Città di Castello and Umbertide.

Villa Chiara is marvellously situated for relaxing or exploring the ancient towns of the region; Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Siena, Florence, Gubbio and many more.
