Villa Capanne is a six hundred year old farmhouse, beautifully restored to retain its original charm. The property sits on the 1,000-hectare private Antognolla estate, amid gentle rolling hills and centuries old Cypresses. Today the Antognolla Castle, classified as a national monument, is currently being restored. Within the estate there is a Robert Trent Jones Jnr. designed championship golf course and many walking trails through the woods. The main house, Capanne, has four large double bedrooms, simply, yet elegantly furnished. The cottage, Capannetta, is adjacent to the main Villa, but separate and self-contained. The house is surrounded by 2.5 acres of stunning landscaped gardens with mature olive trees, banks of lavender and a vast array of shrubs. There is an ‘L’ shaped infinity pool with a large surrounding terrace for sun beds and loungers. The sun terrace affords magnificent views of the Antognolla Castle and the estate beyond.

Capannetta, is adjacent to the main Villa, but separate and self-contained, suitable for 2 couples or a family. There is an external covered terrace, with seating for four and stunning views of the surrounding forests, Monte Acuto and the monastery, where you can hear the music of their bells each day. Capanetta has two double bedrooms, with modern en suite bathrooms (one with hydro massage bath). Both of the beds can separate to provide 2 single beds. The fully equipped kitchen has an oven and gas range, large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A dining room with adjacent living room contains a fabulous wood burning fire with a built-in, fan-forced, pizza oven. Satellite TV is also provided

Villa Capanne is situated in Northern Umbria close to the borders with Le Marche and Tuscany and only 15 minutes drive from the bustling University town of Perugia. It is approx 5 minutes drive to the E45 and although the property is secluded it is by no means remote with the nearby village of Pierantonio only 5 minutes drive and the local market town of Umbertide 10 minutes drive.

Garden and Swimming Pool: The house is surrounded by 2.5 acres of stunning landscaped gardens with mature olive trees, banks of lavender and a vast array of shrubs. There is an ‘L’ shaped infinity pool with a large surrounding terrace for sun beds and loungers. The sun terrace affords magnificent views of the Antognolla Castle and the estate beyond. The pool is salt water treated and has both shallow and deep ends allowing young and old to enjoy it. Near the pool is a large covered pergola with seating for 12 and gas BBQ. There is a separate kitchen garden adjacent to the main house which has its own seating area for 6. There is undercover parking for 2 cars and ample space on the driveway for other vehicles.

Golf: Villa Capanne is located on Antognolla Estate. Antognolla estate contains an 18 hole Championship golf course. It is a fantastic and demanding golf course with the most stunning backdrop of Antognolla Castle. Guests of Villa Capanne have special discounted rates for the golf course throughout their stay at the Villa. There are clubs available for guests to use and rental facilities at the club house.
