Yet, at the same time, the atmosphere in this beautifully restored pallazzo is laced with antiquity because a battle between the Spoletini and the Perugini raged in this very place for 2 years until the Spoletini regained their beloved Spoleto. Terrazza Bella opens onto a large, open terrace with pretty views of hills, unusual in the historical centre of Spoleto. A glamorous, light and airy apartment with very large sitting/dining room and fully fitted kitchen – inc microwave, dish-washer etc/2 double bedrooms (with adjoining balconies)/bathroom with big tub/shower. This luxury apartment is in the middle of an important and significant 14C Roman building, the Rocca dei Perugini, that has been gutted and completely restored. It was originally built as the strong-hold of Perugia to watch over the citizens of Spoleto, whom the Perugians had just conquered! The entrance to the apartments is through a wide Roman stone passage with a luxury all glass business centre on the left and in-built small glass alcoves displaying small luxury items on the right. A few metres along this passage is a lift and stairs, which take you up through the centre of the building. Staying here you will experience luxury interlaced with antiquity

Notes to the rental rates

• The weekly rate includes the possibility of being driven from the station on arrival and returned on departure day for those not wanting to hire a car but is subject to Laurie's availability on the day.
  You can arrive and depart on any day.
  The rate includes up to 4 persons - extra persons are 50 euros/week each.
  A private car-parking space right outside the entrance to the apartment is available for 50 euros a week.

  Bookings in the Christmas period attract an extra tarif of 100 euros/week, pro-rata, if less than a week, in addition to the extra daily tarif for bookings less than a week.
  
• Beware of owners who ask that you pay for the central heating or wood in addition to the rental rate - at the end of your stay, you could well find yourself having to pay the same as you've paid in rent or even more, such is the exorbitant cost of gas, electricity and wood in Italy. We provide for free all utilities...down to the last detail, including unlimited hot water/And, we give you a generous Welcome Pack...wine, fruit, pasta, olive oil, bread, milk, tea, coffee, cereal, salad etc so that our guests can relax immediately on arrival and think about 'the big shop' the next day/Fly to Rome or Ancona then take the train to Spoleto on the Ancona line. Or you can fly to Perugia/Cheap flights with Ryan Air/Car hire either from airport - we will send you directions/Or, if you take the train to Spoleto, then Avis will deliver a car to Spoleto station for you or send a free taxi to collect you.
