In the historically significant 14C Rocca Dei Perugini, built as the stronghold for the Perugini when they conquered Spoleto, located in a pedestrian area Terrazza Bella and Bella Due are stylish apartments, 1 with a stunning terrace, both with balconies. Terrazza Bella has a large, open-plan sitting/dining room with a fitted kitchen along one side of the room + a balcony off both bedrooms. Bella Due has a large sitting/dining room with a separate fully fitted kitchen + a balcony off both bedrooms Both balconies overlook Porta Fuga. The entrance to the apartments is through a Roman stone passage that leads to the stairs/lift up to the apartments. Staying here, you have all the advantages of luxury living. Yet, at the same time, the atmosphere in this beautifully restored palazzo is laced with antiquity because a battle between the Spoletini and the Perugini raged in this very place for 2 years until the Spoletini regained their beloved Spoleto. Terrazza Bella Due is a magnificent combination of 2 self-contained apartments, in the famous Rocca Dei Perugini, next door to each other, each with SKY SAT TV and all the Eng lang doc/film/news channels etc, providing opportunities to be sociable or private with your friends and family. The fabulous terrace seats up to 8 persons, each of the balconies seats 4 persons, easily, and, the patio area seats up to 4 persons. So, you can easily spread yourselves around. Inside, each apartment has a very large sitting/dining room, where 8 persons can easily dine together. And, the availability of 2 kitchens means that the catering can be shared ! Both apartments are comfortably and stylishly furnished and they are in the best part of town, 'il Borgo' ie 'the village', a pedestrian area, immersed in shops, bars and restaurants. This is Spoleto living at its best, especially if you join the passeggiata that passes the front entrance of the Rocca Dei Perugini every day from 4.30 pm onwards.

However, it is not essential to be steeped in history to be able to appreciate the spirituality and awesome beauty of Spoleto. The spirit of its fascinating past is immersed in every stone and cobble. Within this mediaeval setting, you can also enjoy the finest wines, the best truffles, the most mouth-watering olive-oils and the best shopping in the world in a myriad of bars, restaurants and shops.

There are several beautiful, communal pools in the area, including an Olympic sized pool that is about 20 mins door-to-door by public transport. All of them have picnic areas, a bar and the usual facilities. A car is unnecessary - the station is close by. There are 2 SKY/SAT TV s, both with Eng speaking news/doc channels + wide range of videos, DVDs, CDs and books - to suit all tastes + games for children. Internet access, long distance, cheap rate phone calls and fax facilities are opposite the apartment in a stylish internet point. However, there is a Broadband/WiFi facility in both Bella Due + Terrazza Bella, but no computer. We can supply you with a mobile phone whereby you pay local rates via a card system - for a refundable deposit of 100 Euros. There is a private tennis club nearby that welcomes day guests. And, 2 miles away, there are riding stables in the hills.
