This beautiful apartment is situated in the best location of the historical centre of Spoleto, a charming medieval town in the centre of Italy. One and a quarter hour from Rome, half an hour from Perugia, and twenty minutes from Assisi. You will find 'Il Cantico' in a pretty corner, surrounded by a mixture of narrow alleys, steps and the boundary wall. The Home has splendid view of 'Chiostro di San Nicolo'' and is very luminous. Downstairs there is a sitting room a kitchen and a bathroom. Upstairs there is two double bedrooms, a studio and a bathroom all with beams. All the furniture reflects the antique atmosphere of Spoleto, with its theatres, churches and monuments. We would like to add that people with handicap are always welcome, but the home is on different levels, with a few steps here and there. Everyone who has stayed in Il Cantico has always returned because it's difficult to forget such a mystic atmosphere!!

Central location in historic Spoleto

Stayed here with my wife for two weeks in the second half of September 2008. High quality and spacious accommodation. Good location mid way between the lower and upper Piazzas within the city walls. Five minutes walk to the Duomo.
Spoleto is very hilly. We met several people who had rented properties outside the walls in the suburbs and had problems getting home in the evening as there were no taxis after 11 pm and they faced a long walk. Il Cantico is about as good as you can get for location (just round the corner from the opera house).
The owner speaks good English and is very helpful. I was ill for a few days and she took me to the local hospital and translated all Saturday morning and sorted all the problems (including arranging a local dentist as well).
Recommended restaurants: La Cantina di Corvo (one minute from the apartment); Il Pentagramma; Il Tempio di Gusto
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing
