In a secluded valley, within a huge olive tree estate, Pianciano is a stone hamlet built in the 15th century. It is dominated by the magnificent villa Paradiso, built at the end of 1600. In the hamlet, three accurately restored and furnished cottages are perfect for a peaceful holiday, in the 'green heart of Italy'. It is possible to rent from one 'room with a view'for a romantic holiday up to the all hamlet (max 20).Swimming pool 12x6, dressing room. The guardians Eva and Aziz will take care of any problem of your staying. Self catering accommodation. Also breakfast, dinner and wooden oven pizza on request. Cooking lessons. Tour guide, wildlife guide.Wifi, broadband. Mobile phone . Pick up from and to airport. L'ARCO, our bigger unit (sleeps 8) is composed of: a) ground floor: large comortable sitting room with fireplace, dining room, large kitchen,1 bathroom, store-room; b) first floor: 1 double bedroom with bathroom en-suite and fireplace, 1 double bedroom and one twin bedroom with their own bathroom;1 twin bedroom with bathroom en-suite. Shaded terrace with dining table to eat 'al fresco' with spectacular view, separate utilityroom with washing machine and iron table. Large playroom for children with tennis table. BBQ .Private garden, hammock. Private parking.All property fenced.Swimming pool (about 40 x 20 feet), dressing room, batrhroom with shower, sunbeds. . Pianciano : close to perfection

Unspoiled sceneries from the different houses available in the borgo, tastefully restored and comfortable houses, extremely kind and available hosts, many villages and towns close by to relish authentic Italian art, style of life, great wines, organic products, magical walks in the wild flowers. Over a period of 10 days, we stayed in 2 houses and had the opportunity to visit a 3rd one. This hamlet is a true jewel and Umbria has a lot, a lot to offer. Yes, we shall be back !

I recently stayed at Pianciano for a week (with 5 others from my small hometown in the Mid-West).

The first thing I need to say is, I cannot express enough how marvellous the owners (Claudia and Francesco) and the caretakers (Aziz and Eva) were! They ALL went above and beyond the call of hospitality and graciousness! There are not words to describe my gratitude and thanks for helping out in situations they could have easily dismissed as not their problems.

Now, to the property....what a lovely, wonderful place! The buildings have been lovingly restored and have all the amenities that you will need (including two (2) sweet dogs who will be glad to show you love and attention if you're interested!). The grounds are relaxing, and spectacular views abound....from the olive tree covered hills, to the Bachettoni family villa across the valley, down into the town of Spoletto! A perfect setting!

The bedrooms are large spaces which have been nicely designed and have comfortable beds and soft linens. A pleasant sleep is sure to be found.

I highly recommend Pianciano as a beautiful, relaxing place to enjoy the surroundings of Umbria. The property itself, the location, and the people are FABULOUS!! I'm looking forward to a return in the near future so as to enjoy more flavours, sights, and sounds of Italy and Pianciano!

We had a wonderful week here. The property has been renovated with such taste and has been equipped to such a high standard- absolutely faultless. Thge owners' friendliness and helpfulness was beyond the call but very much appreciated. The setting of the villas is simply out of this world- could stay on the terrace looking over the olive groved- mountains forever! Pool was beautiful and needed in such lovely heat! Was a truly Italian holiday; loved the local restaurants, the freshly made pasta, pizza take-aways, even an on-site pizza oven, and the trips to local vineyards! Lots of lovely little towns were within easy driving distance, but we often found in hard to tear ourselves away from this heavenly little hamlet!

relaxed countryside holiday

It´s just as beautiful as the pictures on the website- but the atmosphere staying there ist even more special. The old houses are lovingly restored, the kitchen equiped with everything we needed and then to top it off- the italian understatement in the interior. A place I felt at home from the first minute.

I loved the nearby restaurants, one a real familyplace the other one with a beautiful outdoor terrace and both with great italian food. Since relaxing is important but adventure not to be neglected- a good place to start exploring Umbria by car.

Good for families with small children or countryside lovers. I´ll go there again.
