This 15th century stone house is located ideally at 1km from the lovely village of Vasciano and 6 kilometres from the historic town of Todi. The villa is set in a valley surrounded by vineyards, farmland, rolling hills and wooded areas. A rarely frequented country road passes in front of the property. The villa enjoys 2 reception rooms; the main one, downstairs, has a large fire place and next to it a separate elegant dining room; the other, upstairs, has a television, satellite and DVD. The house has been completely restored and the interiors have been furnished to offer a cosy and relaxing environment. The house is centrally heated. The terrace off the kitchen, with built in barbecue and original pizza oven, provides dining for 20 persons. The pool area with stone surround is also a relaxing environment with wonderful views. The house lends itself well for painting or writing, for family reunions, and is an ideal location for exploring Umbria.

The farmhouse gives total space of 355 square metres, sleeps 11 and gives both the space and flexibility for a group of 11 people to be together at times but also have their own space and privacy from time to time. The whole house + apartment includes three separate lounge areas, (2 with TV and satellite) and two kitchens, so that there are facilities for e.g. two or three families to share but have their own private space as well. There is an internal connecting door which connects the apartment to the ground floor of the house when the whole farmhouse is rented. Stone House - farmhouse of 285 square metres on two floors with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, lounge, kitchen, dining room, television room. Apartment - ground floor modernised apartment of 70 square metres with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, open plan kitchen and living area.

Nearest Airport: Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino at 120 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Todi - Ponte Rio at 7 Kilometres

The house is in a beautiful rural area and is situated in an elevated position on the side of a river valley. It was originally built in 1532 and was the local priest's house. From the house there are wonderful walks along the 'Circuito do Passagio' where you can walk for many kilometres along ancient paths well away from any main roads in peaceful country side where wild boar still live deep in the woods. A ten minute car ride (6 km) will take you to the historic walled town of Todi. The larger towns of Perugia and Terni are 30 minutes drive and many other places of interest are easily accessible. Deruta is 20 minutes drive and has excellent ceramics. Other towns of interest nearby are Assissi, Spello, Spoleto and Foligno. The large peaceful Lake Trasimeno is 45 minutes drive. Frankly many of our guests prefer to stay in the peace and quiet of the house and its surrounds and venture not much further afield than Todi where everything one might need is available.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Included in the price: weekly rental, electricity, water & hot water, local calls, weekly change of linen, 3 hours cleaning 3 x a week, final cleaning. Not included is cost of central heating (in winter there will be an extra charge for gas).
  • Payment of 30% non refundable on reservation, balance due 2 months before rental period. In the event of cancellation up to 30 days before rental period, 50% will be reimbursed. There will be no refund for cancellations 29 or less days before start of rental period.
  • A deposit of EUR 1,500 is collected on arrival and will be refunded within 15 days from departure, subject to inventory check and deductions of any damage.
