Canalicchio is a gem: a spacious traditional house with exposed beams and tiled floors, set in a spectacular hillside situation 1km from the village of San Terenziano and 10km from Todi. From the grounds consisting of large garden, orchard and olive grove there are wonderful views - west to Tuscany and north to Perugia. Enjoy the shade, sunbathe in the garden or dine on the terrace while watching a memorable sunset. Accommodation is very comfortable with a high standard of furniture and fittings and there is a well-equipped dining kitchen. Gas central heating and enclosed log fire are available for the cooler months. Sleeps 5 comfortably in three bedrooms with two bathrooms. Double with en-suite,and twin and single which share a separate bathroom that might be described as having the best view in Umbria - la bella vista! Both bathrooms are modern. There are terraces to the south and west to enjoy meals alfresco.

Canalicchio is situated on a hillside just outside the village of San Terenziano and 10k from the historic hilltop town of Todi. Assisi, Orvieto, Bevagna, Lake Trasimeno and Montefalco are all within easy reach while Siena, Cortona, Montipulciano and Arezzo are within about two hours' drive. Perugia, the capital of Umbria, has a fascinating historic centre and lies 30km to the north. It houses the National Gallery of Umbria and hosts the renowned annual jazz festival and annual chocolate festival. Half way between Rome and Florence, Canalicchio is ideally placed to enjoy the attractions of both cities for day trips by train or bus. Weekly markets are held in San Terenziano and Bastardo. A huge antique market is held every month in Arezzo. Designer label shopping is available locally at Val di Chiana, or on the outskirts of Florence. Local facilities: Canalicchio is approximately 1km from the village of San Terenziano where all immediate needs can be catered for. There are various local shops: jewellery, shoes, hairdresser, designer clothes, flowers, gifts, baker, fresh pasta, as well as two supermarkets, banks, post office, filling station, bars etc.

Local agriturismi (2) serve excellent home-made food. Popular pizzeria in San Terenziano serves pizzas like no others! Local restaurant with al fresco dining in Grutti (5km). Wide selection of excellent restaurants and bars in Todi as well as Collazonne, Bevagna, Montefalco and Deruta. All restaurants in the area serve good traditional local food. Riding stables in San Terenziano and walking on nearby Monte Martana. Golf available near Perugia.
