In the historic centre of the ancient walled medieval town of Montefalco are two designer apartments 'Santa Chiara' and 'San Bartolomeo'. One above the other, they both have beautiful views, are sunny with terraces, luxuriously equipped and fully furnished with a mixture of modern and antique furniture, and just a few steps from the main piazza. Surrounded by vineyards producing the famous Sagrantino wine, olive groves and overlooking the stunning Spoleto valley, Montefalco is authentic, unspoiled Italy.

San Bartolomeo is in a historic and central palazzo in the old city walls of this famous medieval village in the centre of Umbria. Access is easy and the two bedroom apartment is up an easy staircase and has panoramic views both ways from all bedrooms. Each double bedroom has a convenient bathroom and there is a designer kitchen in the living room, flat screen TV etc and a huge original fireplace which is wonderful in the cooler times. The furniture is a mixture of antique and very modern - leather sofas etc. And the best for Alessi kitchen equipment. In all a luxurious and comfortable home in an authentic village with plenty to do.

Montefalco is one of Umbria’s finest examples of a hill top town. With an artistic heritage, its maze of cobbled streets open onto an impressive piazza. This beautiful town is small enough to retain a feeling of intimacy, but big enough to provide good amenities. Its famous red wine, Sagrantino, has received many medals and accolades, and you can try it at the various enotecas in the town from casual to sophisticated. The town retains a village atmosphere where life is good, with great food, wine, and company, a taste of the real Italy and quiet enough for a great relax and well located for exploring much of Umbria and Tuscany. The town is often referred to as ‘the balcony of Umbria’. It sits on a solitary hill overlooking the mountain-flanked Vale of Spoleto, with fantastic views of the nearby towns of Assisi, Perugia, Bevagna, Foligno, Spello, Spoleto and Trevi. The surrounding countryside is perfect for sightseeing, walking, cycling or generally living the authentic Italian life

It is also ideal for longer rentals and off season rentals because it is so well equipped with excellent cooking facilities, central heating, washing machine etc. We have several returning guests that stay a month at a time because of this.
