Palazzolo is an agritourism surrounded by farm vineyards and part of a farm of about 200 hectares in total surface. It has a private swimming pool 12x6 m in size and 1,5-2 m deep and a private garden, with a beautiful view both on Chiana Valley and Mt. Cetona (Tuscany) and on Città della Pieve (Umbria). Palazzolo is a self-catering unit very suitable for families or groups of about ten people willing to combine a relaxing holiday in the countryside with the chance to visit places with archaeological, artistic and natural beauties in Tuscany, Umbria and Latium. It could be used for daily trips to Florence, Rome, Siena, Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Chianti, the Trasimeno Lake area and other beautiful destinations. The house combines the comfort of a villa with the rural location of an old farm-house and provides you with plenty of space to leave in. Inside you can find old pictures of the last two centuries telling you the story of the farm, of the owners and of the territory

Rental rates for the farmhouse in Umbria, Italy

Notes to the rental rates

• Rental rates include all expenditure except expenditure for the heating system during the cold season (or in any case when it is required). Wood for the barbecue and the fireplace is included all the year round and you can have it on demand.
  Discount could be offered for long stays (longer than one week), especially outside peak season.
  
• Short stay: for periods shorter than one week or not including whole weeks from Saturday to Saturday, rental rates have to be agreed upon with the owner. It is possible, on demand, to ask for different conditions as regard the day of arrival and departure (except in the case of peak season periods) and the length of the stay.
  
• Cautionary deposit: usually 300 euro (it could be higher in the case of pets, etc.).
  Booking deposit: usually half of the rental price.

If you are arriving late at night on Saturday and are concerned about supper or Sunday breakfast, it is possible to ask to the owner to provide for some food. In this case you can send us a shopping list via e-mail with what you would like to find in the fridge at your arrival. In the case that we can satisfy your request, we'll give you confirmation and ask to pay for the shopping at your arrival. Besides, especially during the summer, there are several supermarkets in the area that are open on Sunday morning. The house has its own library with about 100 books in English and about 20 in French. Connections (airports, railways, roads)

Although Palazzolo is located in the countryside, nevertheless it is easy to use our agritourism as a starting point for daily trips since the house is about 300 m from the provincial road and it is well connected both by road and by railway. The railway station of Chiusi-Chianciano Terme (on the track from Milan to Rome), from which you can easily reach Florence, Roma, Siena, Orvieto and other places, is about 10 km far from the house while the highway (E35 Milan-Rome) is only a little farther away (about 15 km). Being relatively close to the highway means that you can fly to many major airports (e.g. Rome, Florence, Pisa, Bologna, etc.) and be in Palazzolo by car with a trip that takes less than 3 hours. Besides, lately Ryanair has started flying from London (London Standsted) to Perugia (S. Egidio) and back three times a week and Perugia (S. Egidio) is only about 60 km from Palazzolo.

Spoken languages

In the family of the owners several people master quite well English and one of us has Finnish as a mother tongue and a good knowledge of Swedish. Some of us studied French when at school and can manage reading and writing, although not very good at speaking.

Golf Information:

The Lamborghini Golf Club (9 holes) is the closest golf course. Less than 40 km far from Palazzolo the Perugia Golf Club features an 18-hole course. Last year our Farm has made a special agreement with both of them so that our guests can save up to 20 % of the green fees. Please contact us for current prices.
