Casa Erica - Charming Villa with Peaceful Beautiful Garden in a Medieval Village

We very much enjoyed our stay in Lubriano. After some days in Rome it was an oasis of calm and of relative cool in the agreeable climate of the Italian hills. The house and garden are comfortable, well-equipped and pretty, and the village has a beautiful setting and authentic Italian charm. Local restaurants are mostly excellent and good value.

We spent some time in the lovely garden, played some board games and taught our teenage children bridge, swam in the lake at Bolsena, and tried out our very basic italian in the village shops. A thoroughly pleasant week; a good time was had by all.

Idyll (milliam-webster dictionary): a simple descriptive work in poetry or prose that deals with rustic life or pastoral scenes or suggests a mood of peace and contentment.

We've just returned from a fabulous family holiday in Casa Erica. The house has been restored to a very high standard, with beautiful and comfortable furnishings. Everything you could need is there. Even at the end of a hot day, the evenings were quite cool and comfortable as you are quite high up.

The surrounding area is beautiful, and once on the A1 at Orvietto you can get anywhere quite quickly. You do really need a car which you park in a communal area. Lubriano is a lovely village, and very friendly, with lots of shops. There was even a festa while we were there. The sea beach is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours drive away, but there are some lovely beaches on Lake Bolsena, particularly at Cappadimonte. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone with or without children.

A truly memorable holiday staying in a delightful village house which in turn is situated in a wonderful old village.

The garden is wonderful and great to relax in.

The surrounding countryside and views are stunning. All in all the best place we have stayed in Italy and is thoroughly recommended.
