Deluxe Chalet in the Woods at Champoluc, Valle D'Aosta
This enchanting wooden chalet stands by itself about 1 km from the main ski lifts of Champoluc. The area is surrounded by forest and in front lies the main piste of the cross country skiing of the village and the mountain river. The skiing of Champolu carrives to the altitude of 3260 metres, taking skiers to the heights of Monte Rosa. The 180 km of piste make it one of the main centres of Italian skiing. There are 37 different ski implants, most of modern construction. This family house offers all the comforts of old fashioned living, open wood fireplaces and antique furniture mixed with all the comforts of modern living. The resort of Champoluc, is an old fashioned ski resort, looking to comfort and marked by traditional Valdostana taste. Of late it has become the fashionable place to ski, but this has not changed its traditional feel and the friendliness of it's mountain inhabitants.

Just below the highest Mountain within Italy, Monte Rosa, lies the unspoilt village Champoluc. Together with Gressoney, Antagnod and Alagna Valsesia it forms the Monte Rosa Ski Area, all covered on the same lift pass. The 150km of slopes in the Monte Rosa ski area are uncrowded runs with an emphasis on long and wide reds. Experts will find that with a guide some of the best powder in Italy suddenly appears under their skis as well as a host of challenging pisted runs.
