A most stylish and pleasing property, a house, that has it all: pretty loggias, comfortable interiors with washing machines and dish washers, lovely gardens with beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees, a wonderful pool, and all this just 200m from the beautiful sandy beach of Cala Liberotto. The house consists of four 3-bedroom apartments arranged on 2 floors plus a separate Pool house, which are bright, spacious and airy and have been furnished in a very pleasant colour scheme. 10% Discount on MAY HALF TERM BREAKS on all bookings confirmed by 9 Feb 2009. Applies to bookings between 24/5 and 12/6.!!!

Further to the South and the mountains ahead of us get even more imposing, 15 km nothing but oleander, macchia, mountains, rocks and lovely smells... we reach Cala Ginepro and Cala Liberotto, the more exclusive and lesser known beach villas, and a real find. Pine forests along the whole stretch of coast, dramatic mountain formations, a beautiful coastline with often tiny bays, finest sandy beaches, bordering on rocky shores, and little peninsulas. Novices at surfing may find this area due to the coastline a little too challenging, we wouldn't recommend the area to them, but to everyone else, families with children, nature lovers, walkers, etc, who will just love it here. The pretty nearby town of Orosei (10 min drive), with its historic town centre, weekly street market and a scattering of excellent restaurants, is well worth a visit.

This is Sardinia at its best: : Crystal clear sea, endless silky white beaches alternating with steep cliffs and small rocky bays. Rugged mountains give way to verdant hills, tranquil lakes and moors, inhabited by colourful butterflies and unusual birds. The scent of the pine forests and the fragrant macchia mixed with the sweet smell of myrtle and lemon trees. The sensation of finding oneself in a region where the stunning beauty of nature, the genuine character of the people, the many typical dishes and the ancient traditions seem to have remained unchanged over the years. Traces of Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs, Byzantines and Spanish influences, assimilated and integrated into its own culture. A feeling of authenticity even in the larger, more modern towns.

Big house, but a little run down

Nice place with large rooms and terrace and nice pool. Clean and tidy on arrival. Nice and quiet surroundings. Quick and friendly get-in service from the Centro Servizo.

But... the place is becoming a little run down. Mosquito net broken - be aware of mosquitos.... Missing tiles in the pool - my daughter cut her feet. The TV didn't work and was not fixed, even after 4 telephonecalls to Centro Servizo. The "lovely garden" was not so lovely - very dry and unkept.

The attractions on this part of Sardinia is mostly the beaches, which is superb - try Cala Liberotto.

So all in all ok, but not up to our expectations, considering the price. Please use some time and money on restoring the property.

comfortable, spacious. We had one of the downstairs apartments - bit of noise from upstairs - would ask for 1 of the upstairs apartments if went again. Bit of trouble getting hold of key on arrival and agency not very responsive - but would certainly go again. Lovely beach 100 yards up road. We went mid September - v quiet out of season which was ideal for us. Not much to do in Cala itself -bit more ilfe in Los Salinos
