These are bright, purpose built apartments. They are within a medium sized complex in the Alghero Lido. The apartments are 2 minutes walk to the nearest beach. You may use the condo swimming pool, which is open during July and August. The apartments have open plan kitchen living areas and an outdoor eating area with table and chairs overlooking the gardens. The apartment is just 25 minutes stroll into Alghero old town, along the wide, palm tree, lined promenade. There is a small children's pay area available for residents, which is open all year round.

The apartments are situated in Alghero's Lido. A area of wide, open avenues leading to the gulf of Alghero. The beaches of the Lido generally have wide, sandy beaches and gently shelve into the sea. The apartment is 2 minutes walk from a length of this beach. The apartments really are close enough to go back and forth for drinks and snacks. Situated on a complex the apartments have the luxury of a large outdoor pool (open in July and August), which is perfect for the end of the day after a day trip, to cool off. There are cafes, bars, gelaterias and supermarkets within easy walking distance of the apartment and the historic, old town of Alghero is just 25 minutes (holiday stroll) along the palm tree, lined promenade. Buses run into Alghero old town and out of town towards the beautiful beaches on the edge of the national park, about 10 kilometres away. If you decide to hire a car, there is on-road parking available.

  • A security deposit of £100 is payable, if it proves unnecessary to use the deposit, this is refunded on checking out as, cash.
    An end of stay cleaning charge of £30 is payable at the time of booking.If you have an evening departure, a late check out facility is available. The room is available for you until 9pm at night for just £45.
    A transfer service from Alghero airport is available from just £30 one-way based on 4 people or less.
    Cots are available for an extra £5 per night. Please request at the time of booking.
    A non-refundable deposit of 20% is requested to secure the booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks before departure.
  • Cancellations 55 days to 42 days before arrival are subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the holiday cost. Cancellations within 42 days to 35 days of arrival are subject to a cancellation fee of 30% of the holiday cost. Cancellations within 35 days to 28 days of arrival are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the holiday cost. Cancellations within 28 days to 14 days of arrival are subject to cancellation fee of 75% of the holiday cost. We stayed in the 2-rooms apartment one week in September.
All of us, 5 persons, liked the apartment very much. It was clean and very nice furniture. If there is something to complain about it is the beds, very hard. But ok anyway!
The owner was very very nice. She picked us up at the airport with her car and the day we leaved she picked us up at the apartment.
Very easy! And You can call her anytime, no problem!
I can recommend this to a friend.
We liked everything with Sardinia. It is a wonderful island and I hope
we will return some day.
The apartment is close to 2 very fine beaches. Maria-Pia beach very fine.
Owner's Response: I am pleased that everyone your group enjoyed their holiday in Alghero and that the apartment suited their holiday needs. The position of the apartment is lovely for groups of adults of families alike as it is within just a couple of minutes walk for lovely sandy beaches but also close to the bars and restaurants too.
I am sorry that the beds seemed hard the mattresses were new in early 2009.

Alghero Family Holiday 10 days - Helpful Info

Went with Ryanair, weigh your luggage before you go as you will get charged the extra cost! 15Kg for cases and 10Kg for hand luggage ONLY!!!!!!
Met at the airport ON TIME an no waiting - prebooked by Polly, stayed in a One bedroom apartment with all the basics that you will require including towels beach and bathroom, very close to the swimming pool, sea, restaurants, cafes and bars which they come and serve you, supermarket equiped with loads of goodies about 10 minutes walk, 20 - 25 mins walk into Alghero (do be careful with little children who do need the WC as there are not many toilets available but can use the cafes and restaurants if really desperate), the cash machine which Polly explained to us which is near the reastaurant with the white umbrellas was not working for the full 10 days we were there - but do try just in case (not Polly and Marks fault) the next cash machine is in a shopping centre called Comer i think but well hidden so look carefully.
Local buses, hire car and hire bikes to get around.
Polly and Mark were very helpful throughtout our stay so dont be afraid to ask questions, Polly even arranged our transfer back to the airport after asking halfway through the holiday and was met to say goodbye - Brillant service 100%
All in all a very good area to stay and the service from Polly and Mark were brilliant.
Thank you Polly and Mark hope to see you both soon (fingers crossed for the Lottery).

On arrival we were provided with a different apartment than advertised. The location was excellent and across the road from the beach as stated. However the apartment blocks were very poor in presentation/ appearance and is in dire need of a slap of paint. Our apartment itself was very dark and although relatively clean, did not provide the basics of what you would expect from a self catered apartment. There was only one socket by the front door where you were able to boil the kettle..the shower leaked when used...we had to request an iron which was a health hazard when used. The iron plate bubbled when turned on and scorced my top. Unfortunaltely the only positive point to add was the central location.
Owner's Response: These popular apartments just across from the beach and the Maria Pia sand dunes are in a fantastic location for a beach holiday and in July and August there is the added advantage of a swimming pool for use by guests. During winter 2008 the whole complex is indeed having a much requested, very large 'lick of paint' ready for the spring time of 2009.

I was very sorry that the guest found the apartment unsuitable, it was offered as a same price alternative,as it was available and larger than the original booked and has a much larger,sunny terrace. Unfortunately the problems of the apartment were not mentioned until checking out, which left me unable to find any solutions to improve the holiday experience.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was clean and spacious with brand new appliances in the kitchen. There was a lovely big table in the living area, perfect for mealtimes.

The apartment is literally across the road from a lovely sandy beach with a cafe for sunbeds, food and drinks. A little further along is another lovely beach approached through some trees in the sand dunes.

The walk into Alghero along the coast road took about 15-20 minutes and is well worth it as the old town is beautiful with many shops and restaurants. There are also plenty of restaurants near the apartment which we found good value. We would also recommend the street market on a Wednesday in the streets just behind the apartment complex.

We were collected from the airport and taken to the apartment where we were given the keys and were able to ask any questions we had, the customer service was excellent and we were given a contact number should we have any problems.

Alghero is a wonderful place and we are already planning our return.
