The property is located in the historical centre of Venice in the area of Rialto (few steps to famous Rialto bridge) and a short walk to St Marks Square. It is composed of 1 bedroom, living room with kitchen and double sofa bed, small panoramic equipped terrace overlooking the rooftops. Very attractive flat in characteristic and typical location in the Rialto quarter. The flat is in a quiet area however well serviced with food stores and all kind of shops closeby where you can enjoy typical venetian life style The Rialto market is nearby, gondola boatstop to cross the Grand canal and reach Strada Nuova with its shops and good restaurants.

This flat is ideal for people looking for a romantic holiday in Venice You can easily walk to main historical and interesting places of the city from this location, but far from noisy tourist quarters. The flat is located in the central area of Rialto (the famous bridge crossing the Grand Canal, main water way of the city) right in the heart of Venice . A very good location to walk everywhere to the main sites. At only few steps there is the Grand Canal:you can enjoy a gondola ride simply by crossing the canal with local venetian people The flat has a small terrace with table and chairs with a nice view on the roof tops of Venice. NOT TO BE MISSED IN SAN POLO RIALTO BRIDGE This is the oldest bridge and spans the Grand Canal. It probably dates back to 1172 and was originally in wood. In 1557 the Venetian Republic put out a tender for rebuilting the bridge in stone. The architects who competed for the tender includes Palladio and Sanmichieli. The tender was awarded by Antonio da Ponte and in 1591 the bridge was inaugurated. CHURCH OF S. GIACOMETTO Perhaps the oldest church in Venice. It is still laid out in the form of a Greek cross. Opposite, we have the'Gobbo di Rialto' which was built by Pietro da Salò in 1541. Next to it, there is the 'Pietra del bando' from which the decrees of the Venetian Republic were read out. This was the commercial heart of Venice, where merchants met to hammer out their agreements and where the Banco Giro was located. This bank was already in existence in the twelfth century and enabled credit to circulate San Polo Square It gives its name to the district

Dear Paola and Marco,
Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay in Venice! The apartment was wonderful, with lots of light, space, and air, and great views over the rooftops from every window. It was even better than we had hoped for and the location was perfect.
We were able to shop at the Rialto market
for fresh fish, fruits, vegetables, pasta, cheese, and bread, and we put together some amazing meals! We ate out on our little terrace often but we also found some excellent bars and restaurants nearby.

Wonderful days in a nice apartment

The apartment is acurately described- a very nice, clean apartment with all the things you need to have a good and comfortable journey. Sitting on the the lovely little balcony, life is good. You can see Campanile tower, because you are on the roots of Venice. Though you are in the heart of "Old Venice", there is no noice. You can reach by foot or by ship all points you want to see. That is very exclusive. We told all our friends of this apartment and recommended it to them.
I think, it is necessairy to say, that there is a washing -machine , a hair-dryer.and a microwave. You must know, that the apartment is situated on the 4.th floor, there are 60 steps to take, especially with luggage. I wouldn`t recommend it for elder person, who are not fit in health.
We liked to take diner in the restaurant, with an outdoor-restaurant situatet at the place on fish- market and an indoor-restaurant in a little street some steps farer. .I forgot the name.

This apartment is truly central. Steps away from the Rialto fish market. 65 steps up to a a great retreat from the crowds. The apt. was clean and well appointed. We didn't cook in but there is enough to live in comfort. I was disappointed to find no internet but internet is not far way. I would return again in a flash. Paola and Marco were very helpful.

Hallo Paola,
wir sind wieder in Hamburg angekommen u. haben von der tollen Stadt und der Wohnung berichtet.Wir können nur empfehlen, sich diese für einen Aufenthalt in Venedig zu mieten. Die Lage ist perfekt und die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht. Sie ist sehr gemütlich. Das Frühstück auf dem Balkon in der warmen Sonne war ein Genuß. Wir werden bestimmt noch einmal kommen und auf jeden Fall wieder diese Unterkunft wählen. Grüße aus Hamburg senden Fatima und Anja

October Visit to Paola and Marco Apartment

We (3 adults) spent four nights in the apartment and it was perfect for us. We typically stay in apartments when we travel and found Paola and Marco's apartment to be well furnished, very clean, and in a great location for exploring Venice. We agree with a previous review that the apartmnet is more spacious and nicer than it appears in the photos. Quaint views in all directions over the rooftops towards Campanile and church spires. We enjoyed the small deck that allowed for a quiet and relaxing outdoor break. We would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends.
