We speak your language:
but also speak Italian, French and Spanish + we know our way around Venice. We can help you plan your travel arrangements + provide information on what’s happening in Venice + buying property in Venice (easier + cheaper than you'd think) Living right in the heart of this incredible city, all you need do is wander out your front door and it’s all there before you…the delights of La Serenissima in all its splendour. Stroll down the Strada Nuova, lined with elegant boutiques, to S Sofia where you can board a Traghetto gondola [sharing the boat with Venetians carrying shopping trolleys, prams, children and pets] for only 40 cents and cross the Grand Canal to the astounding Rialto markets. Walk from our front door, past the sumptuous Grand Canal Palace (now the municipal casino) where Richard Wagner lived, to the San Marcuola wharf with vaporetto connections to pretty well everywhere. The apartment is...simply perfect. The floor area is 40 sq.m with impressive timber-beamed ceilings.
Like all of Venice:
it's an antique building [about 300 years old], but has been lovingly restored by a meticulous local craftsman, to accommodate modern living with excellent security, including wall safe, double glazing, air conditioning + central heating, washing machine etc. We supply fresh sheets and towels - and they don't smell of tobacco because we don't smoke, so we do ask the same of our guests, at least not while inside our home. The kitchen is fully equipped, especially for Italian cooking and you'll find all the fresh ingredients you need at the local, colourful and atmospheric Cannaregio/Guglie street markets or the more famous Rialto markets. We try to leave a goodly quantity of basic supplies so you don’t need to go searching for coffee, tea, salt and pepper, oil, vinegar, washing powder, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper etc as soon as you get here....we invite you to use what you need and then replace the items when you go shopping.
We invite you:
We invite you to use whatever you need and then replace the items when you do go shopping. Nearby services include the big Strada Nuova Billa supermarket, Rizzo bakery and market, Mauro bakery, myriad cafes, restaurants, bars + just about everything else you can think of. This must be the prime position in Venice, being so very central yet occupying a quiet little haven tucked away between the activity of a major pedestrian artery and the legendary Grand Canal. Buying Venice real estate? Can be a convoluted but rewarding experience...We've now bought five, so we can help. The guestbook below has room for but a few samples...please email for full texts of glowing tributes from our many satisfied visitors.
