Charming flat with a balcony facing a romantic typical Venetian canal

We rent our flat in Venice for short weekly stays all year round (minimum stay: five days). The flat is perfect for two and suitable for a family with a child. “Nati’s House” (Nati is our daughter!) offers the comfort and the charm that could emphasize the value of your stay in this spectacular city of the world. Very well lighted, it faces with a balcony a marvelous typical Venetian canal, in a part of Venice, which still belongs to Venetians. We think this is a great value for the wise tourist. The flat is completely furnished, some pieces of furniture are antique and it is located at the first floor: safe when the sea floods the streets and far from humidity of the ground floors. “Nati’s House” is waiting you just four minutes by the Alilaguna water bus stop (shuttle service from/to the airport). The apartment is composed of a small entrance hall and two rooms, one bathroom with shower and a balcony facing the canal (a small great value!). One room offers the kitchenette, fully equipped with four cooking stoves, oven, fridge, table, etc. and a single or double bed sofa. The other room offers another double bed sofa, really comfortable and easy-to-open. So it is suitable for 2 people or 4, but for your comfort we prefer to limit the number in party at three people. Three large windows and a nice balcony open onto a picturesque canal. Located at the first floor. There is the telephone, fans for warm periods, plenty of books and Venice's guides, toys for children, tv, VHS, washing machine, devices for different voltage (110V to Italian standard), internet WIFI (on demand), normally you'll find all the common stuffs of a normal home. Our aim is to make you feel like at home.

Located in the Cannaregio District, where the popular culture of Venice is still alive and where restaurants and “osterias” are still for Venetians (and for the few lucky tourists who go off the beaten track for a minute or two) .4-8 minutes walk from the boat service, 11-13 from railway station and 10 from Rialto, maybe less with “gondola” shuttle. If you plan to arrive to the San Marco Airport, just take the Alilaguna boat shuttle Airport-Venice, stop at Guglie water bus stop in Venice and then you have to walk four minutes and just one bridge to cross!

Additional information about rental rates

  • Payment on line recommended (paypal) -no extra fee required -
    +5% only in the case you want to pay via bank transfer or sending a cheque.
    50% deposit is required at the booking, balance six week before arrival.
    Minimum stay five days within a Sat-to-Sat period. Minimum applicable rental rate corresponds to the rental rates of five days.
    The apartment is consigned in the care of guests clean and tidy and with availability of towels and linen and all normal household items. No extra amounts are necessary for final cleanings at departure.
    Gas, water, electricity are included.
  • Our policy is to rent from Saturday to Saturday, we are a little family run service and the contract with the cleaner operates only on Saturday; we must apply only a not proportional discount to anyone who wants to stay less than a week inside a Sat-to-Sat period, with a considerably high minimum. The turnover day may be different during the Christmas periods and Carnival and in some rare cases during the year, but due to extra expenses, prices can be higher.

We are Paolo, Giulia and Natalia, Nati for friends (15 years old).

We are a happy family who lives in Bologna. We decided to have this flat in Venice because we love this city. We had been living there for six years when we were students at the University School of Architecture. Now we are both architects professing in Bologna, but our hearts are still in Venice. The city is not so far from Bologna so, during the periods we do not rent the flat, it is possible for us to enjoy short stays in the most spectacular city of the world.

Without otherwise agreed, keys are delivered directly to your contractual address by post. So at your arrival, you will already have the keys and detailed directions.

My wife and I loved our week in Nati's House in Venice and wished we could have stayed longer. The house is well located, yet far from the tourist track. It is comfortable and the host is very conscientious in providing everything that is needed, including Venice guidebooks in English, as well as detailed instructions covering every eventuality. The apartment was clean, well maintained and fit the description provided very accurately. I would definitely recomment it.

Excellent apartment in Venice

NATI'S HOUSE owned by Paolo Devescovi is a gem. It is a small, efficient, well-designed, light-filled, quiet attractive apartment. The location is wonderful. You take a few twists and turns by foot away from larger canal, and suddenly you are on a small, quiet canal lined with colorful buildings. The apartment is in one of these. I stayed there for one week with my husband and our teenaged daughter (we took the spacious bedroom, she slept on the fold-out couch in the living room/kitchen). The apartment is very close to several vaporetto stops, so it is a good base for exploring all of Venice and the islands in the lagoon. It is a 15 minute walk to the train station, too, so we also made lovely day trips by train to Padua and Verona. The price of this apartment is very reasonable. Paolo was a pleasure to do business with! Highly recommended.

Living in Venetian style

Because Venice is such an intensely tourist-based city, it was wonderful to live in a residential neighbourhood. Nati's apartment is conveniently located to the train station, vaporetto stops, and all of the walkways through the city. Yet it also had the advantage of being on a safe, quiet street with small nearby stores filled with local cheeses, meats, fruits and vegetables. The apartment was a perfect base from which to enjoy living in a Venetian style. With a balcony that opens directly onto a small canal, a comfortable living room/kitchen, large bedroom and high ceilings throughout, the apartment feels spacious for two people. Paulo was very good to deal with as we organized our trip and ensured that the apartment was clean, prepared and ready for our stay. We felt as though it was our own place, one that we were very sorry to leave.

Second Honeymoon in Venezia!

My wife and I spent the first week of our 25th wedding anniversary trip to Italy in Nati's House in Venice in July, 2011. It was a wonderful start to a memorable holiday. The apartment is cosy but extremely comfortable. We requested a small meal and wine be made available for us upon arrival, and Paolo's assistant, the delightful Miss Christina, prepared a lovely package meal. Having dinner on the balcony each evening was a romantic repast. One morning, the Italian Air Force flew by with their tricolour vapour trails, adding to the welcoming feeling. As others have mentioned, the neighbourhood is quiet and residential. However, lovely shopping is available just a few blocks away. We thoroughly fell in love with Venice. Make sure to visit Murano, and colourful Burano while you're at it… just a short Vaporetto trip away.
Foolishly, I forgot some valuable camera equipment at the apartment, and Paolo most generously brought it to Florence for me on the next leg of our journey, going way out of his way. We saw his new Florentine apartment, which looks quite lovely and inviting. He is a charming, cultured articulate man. We look forward to our return to Venice, and to explore Paolo's other rental accommodations in Italy upon our return. BRAVISSIMO Paolo!

Ideal Holiday Base

My daughter and I have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Nati’s House. The apartment was comfortable and well proportioned, clean and very well equiped with all the things needed to make day to day living easy. There is also a good selection of guide books and maps to help you plan your holiday.
Nati’s House overlooks a small but active canal, we sat out on the balcony which overlooks it to have breakfast each morning, and it was lovely to sit on in the evenings to watch the boats go by. The apartment is situated in a quiet, safe area lived in mainly by local people and is very conveniently placed for restaurants, shops and the daily markets. There are many places of interest within walking distance, and the vaporettos (which although sometimes can be crowded, are a great way of seeing the canalside buildings and bridges from a different perspective) run frequently from stops nearby enabling you to visit the more distant parts of Venice and the islands of Murano and Burano.
We would highly recommend Nati’s House and hope to return one day.
