Villa Lambranzi is situated in a quiet and green residential area of Verona on the edge of the inner city area and just an eight-minute walk from all the main monuments, churches and museums. It is adjacent to the Adige and is ideal for romantic walks along the banks of the river toward the Roman theatre and medieval castle. The apartment is extremely well equipped and has been completely refurbished; it is on two levels, the ground (mezzanine) floor and the basement, of a charming art deco villa with a surrounding garden. The apartment has its own entrance and is tastefully decorated with a mix of antique and modern furniture. A particular point of interest: the original 1920 floor in the main living area and bedroom. There is an excellent supermarket in Via IV November, which is just a five-minute walk from the house. It is well served by public transport and parking is available outside the house.

    The use of the sofa-beds in the living area is limited to specific situations/agreements.
    Payment requested in advance, at least 20 days before arrival.
    A 20 % deposit will be paid upon booking, if you book many months before.

The main entrance of the villa is only for the use of this apartment. The living area is spacious and extremely comfortable, much of the furniture is original antiques. Leads directly into a good size kitchen, well equipped, full of light and spotless. The bedroom adjoining the hall is a large room with a quiet, romantic atmosphere, original brass bedsteads and wardrobes, and en-suite bathroom. In the hall area, beside the second bathroom, an attractive spiral staircase goes downstair to the other bedroom: a big cosy room with its own bathroom. Two large cupboards, in the hall and in the first bedroom, and a clothes rack downstairs, are available for guests.

VERONA: The love town of Romeo and Juliet with a labyrinth of narrow and romantic streets which will lead you in wandering walks to the Archaeological Museum, near the Roman Theatre, or to the Natural History Museum, to the Art Gallery in CastelVecchio (which hosts Italian painting from 12-19th century) to the medieval market square, Piazza delle Erbe, or to the most celebrated Roman Amphitheatre, the 'Arena', in which you'll be able to listen to many of the most important operas (29 June - 1st September). Near the Villa you will be able to try out many different restaurants or trattorie and taste the excellent local wines (Recioto, Amarone, Bardolino, Soave, Valpolicella, Custoza). If you prefer to cook at home, there are shops and a supermarket in Via IV Novembre, five minutes from the house.

Next to Verona: The refreshing waters of Lago di Garda are just 30 km / 20 miles away, and well-known wine centres like Valpolicella are only 15 minutes by car, on the way to the lake you can also visit many famous wineries. From Verona you can easily go to other unique towns for the day : Padova, Mantova or Vicenza in half an hour by train or car, Venice in one hour and a half. The nearest Airport is Verona - Villafranca

This apartment was so much more than we hoped it would be! The location was great; the apartment was spotless and the housekeepers charming. The kitchen had everything we needed and the notes left for us by the owner gave us all the information we needed to find our way around the apartment and around Verona. There was an abundance of towels and having a bathtub was a real treat. It was so nice to be able to sit outside under the cool shade on hot afternoons. Making our arrangements was a smooth process; the owner answered all our questions and was a big part of making our trip to Verona so wonderful.

Great for Two Couples or Family

We stayed here in late October,2008. We were introducing long time friends to our favorite Italian city and this apartment made a perfect base for travel around Verona and the Veneto (easy day trips to Venice, etc.) The apartment is convenient for walking tours, for neighborhood shopping (groceries, wine, cafes, etc., with easy walking access to the old city. The two bedrooms are on separate floors so there is a sense of privacy. There is a real neighborhood feel that contributes to a sense of living in the city, not just being tourists. The owner was very easy to work with. We will be back and will not be looking for other accomodations.

A retreat in Verona

This centrally located flat was exactly as advertised. We stayed here in late April 2009 .The locaation made walking easy to all the sites and to excellent grocery stores, cafes and restaurants . The flat is spacious, cool and very quiet for sleeping .A car is not required-- the buses are easy to use and stops are nearby--- as are fresh bakery, pizzas and lovely stores for shopping away from the old city centre. The flat is very well equipped, very clean and daily necessities provided. The owner provided very useful informaion before arrival and there are many tourist information books for use during your stay. I would recommend this address to friends and family.

The accomadations were exactly what was advertised. The appartment was comfortable and met all of our needs -a full kitchen, well equipped; firm beds; plenty of hot water; comfy furniture; immaculate; safe neighborhood. The location was perfect. It is about 2 blocks from the bridge that leads to the old town and convenient walking distance to the grocery store, historical sights, restaurnats and pizza and gelato! The owners were very available and accommadating. They have provided a basket of brochures on Verona and the vicinity including info on a local tour guide who leaves across the street and is very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Marci

Holiday in Verona

This was our first visit to Italy / Verona for myself, my wife and two children (14 & 17). The apartment was charming with a interesting local history and had everything mentioned in the description. The landlady Antonella was very helpful and provided local information before our trip so we were aware of the local shops, banks, etc. Verona centre was a short walk (15 minutes) with plenty to see and do and some charming places to eat. I have already recommended the apartment to family and friends. Using the trains we were able to visit Lake Garda and Venice.
