Pretty detached Villa built in early 1900's, with its own land of approx 10 Acres. Views of Olive groves and hills, very quiet. Ideally situated for beach, 15 min drive, Mountains 40 min drive, walking. Good local restaurants and cafe/bars at Castel Frentano with a local market on Tuesday. Lanciano an historical town 10 min drive. The house sleeps 6 people, 1 double bedded room, with en suite shower room and 1 twin bedded room, and another double bedded room. All have balconies. A farmhouse kitchen with table, Range Cooker, fridge/freezer , microwave. and open fireplace (Working). Dining room with large table. Lounge with TV/DVD, stereo, wood burning stove. The house has Central Heating to all rooms. The outside has a working well, 2 double garages and 1 large barn. A private swimming Pool 8mtrs x 4mtrs and 1mtrs to 1.5mtrs deep. A stone BBQ. Outside sink, outside toilet. garden furniture.

In the beautifull unspoilt region of Abruzzo,Casa Perea is a detached Villa which was built in the early 1900's, situated on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Cotti, near to Castel Frentano where all the surrounding area is farmed for wheat, olives and grapes . there are a selection of shops and amenities a local hotel and good restaurant. Market day is on Tuesday. You can reach the unspoilt Adriatic Coast within 15 mins and enjoy the wonderful sandy beaches and coves at San Vito, Fossacessa and Casal Bordino .Lanciano is a 10 min car ride away. this ancient town is rich in art, history and events for visitors and a special religious destination for its famous Eucharistic Miracle, and has many restaurants and bars. Lago di Casoli situated at the foot of Casoli is a beautiful and peaceful lake where you can fish (with local permit). Rome is just over 2 hours drive or you can take the bus or train from Lanciano. UK direct flights to Pescara or Rome by Ryanair. Rentacar via Hertz or Avis

We had a lovely stay at this house, set in a great location. We were there with our 2 small children who also enjoyed themselves. All comforts available and great communications with owner and local contacts.

Between snowy mountains and the blue sea

Casa Perea is located on a hill next to an olive grove and wine fields. The house offers a stunning view on the agricultural activities between the Majella Mouintains and the Adriatic Sea. It was our second visit to the Abruzzo, our first stay was in the nearby St Vito beach resort. The contrast between the densely populated coastal zone and this quiet rural place was big. As we love hiking our first trips were to the national park of Maiella, a short car drive form the house. We discovered a nice hiking trail from Bocca de Valle to the San Giovanni Cascades.
Also a very nice hike: from Fara San Martino to Pennapiedimonte. The seaside is also very nearby.
An interesting coastal hike is from Lido di Casalbordino to Punta Aderci/ Punta della Penna.
As for the house: there is a cosy kitchen with a fireplace and a huge cooking stove. The bedrooms are nice and light, all with balcony/ terrace.
The lack of glasses was one point of remark: we understand that out of safety reasons the use of glasswork near the pool is not desirable, but to drink wine during dinner form plastic, well that is not a good match with Italian quality wine! So we bought a set of wine glasses, which we left for future users.
There are two terraces, with a nice view.
The pool is small but adequate and located next to high barn, where you can lo park your care. There are neighbours in a farm along the same road that leads to casa Perea, which results in some friendly car traffic through the garden.

Just arrived back from a truly wonderfull holiday, early
in the holiday season, so wasn't sure what to expect.
Pool turned out to be a complete saviour the weather
was fantastic, what a stunning area with lots to see and
do in nearby Lanciano. Please say thank you to your lovely neighbours who supplied us with vegetables all
week. House was very pretty, we were able to eat outside
every day and admire the stunning views. Thank you for the new BBQ we certainly christened it!
