The Water Mill at Stiffe - San Demetrio nei Vestini -L'Aquila

Restored ex-water mill situated in the centre of Stiffe (565m asl), a small hamlet at the base of a mountain about 19km east of L'Aquila (720m asl), the nearest city. The area is renowned for its grottos and there is a small waterfall easily accessible at the back of the house (300m walk). Ideal location for nature lovers with great walks and hiking spots. Nearby restaurant offers local cooking. Nearest village is San Demetrio nei Vestini (3km- 620m asl) and Lake Sinizzo (4km) offers swimming, picnic area, fishing and children's play area. The village of Stiffe is just off the border of the Velino-Sirente Regional Park and 25km from Ovindoli Ski resort - 31km from the Gran Sasso and Laga Mountains National Park.
