3 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms; additional 2nd shower, sleeps 5-7

This is a unique newly restored traditional house standing in its own private grounds of 3.5 acres including a wonderful 1.2 acre olive grove. Both house and olive grove view directly onto the Gran Sasso massif rising to just short of 3000m. Although extremely private, lying along its own track of around 200m it is only 3-4 minutes from the ancient Roman town of Atri that has a University, two magnificent churches, an archaeological museum and many cafes, trattorias and restaurants. It is only 10 minutes from the Pine shaded beach at Pineto, but at the same time just 45 minutes from the Ski resorts of the Gran Sasso that have wonderful summer walking. Prices shown are for 2-5 people.

This is a very special property featured in Channel 4's 'A Place in the Sun' programme in 2005.

Abruzzo is probably Italy's most unspoiled region and a high proportion is protected by National Parc Status. Our house lies on the edge of the WWF Natural Park of the Calanchi and has completely uninterrupted views straight to the 3000m Gran Sasso about 45 minutes away by car. At the same time the wonderful sandy beach at Pineto is only about 8 minutes away and is very unusual in being shaded by beautiful mature Pine trees. Our olive grove is about 1.2 acres of complete peace with fireflies in May and June and birds, butterflies and grasshoppers, and peace to read, talk, think - and be!

Notes: The house has two bedrooms upstairs, each with large double beds equipped with two separate high quality mattresses each for comfort. In addition one bedroom also has a similar single bed. So we can accommodate 4-5. upstairs. In addition there is third bedroom downstairs with large double bed and en-suite shower. Our basic charges are for the two bedrooms upstairs and for 2-5 people. The 3rd bedroom is available for an exta charge.
