This beautiful traditional house is full of character. It is located in the historical medieval center of Scanno (1050m over see level). This ski resort house has been completely renovated in 2006 to a very high standard. The approx. 100m property has two double bedrooms with great views of the mountains. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. There is also a second bathroom, a spectacular living room with fireplace and sofa bed, a grand kitchen-dining room and a wonderful terrace with beautiful views of the mountains and the town center. The Ski lift to Scanno Monterotondo is just 3 minutes walk from the house. The ski lift (only 18 euros) leaves from the center of town and takes you to the base of the ski resort at 1,650M from where others ski lifts take you to several slopes reaching 2000m. Skiing in the National Park of Abruzzo is a different experience. Magical! In summer the ski lift is open to take hikers closer to the heart of the national park.

In the Apennines, in the National Park of Abruzzo, at 150km from Rome, 100km from Pescara and 180km from Naples you will find Scanno. Ryanair flies to both Rome and Pescara Airport. Scanno is well connected by bus with Rome and the rest of the region. This mountain village is also known as 'The Pearl of Abruzzo' because of the beauty of its architecture and traditions. Scanno has a stunning historical medieval center and It has kept ancient traditions. The town is surrounded by spectacular nature and a magnificent lake, which has been given a blue flag by the European Union due to its clean waters, safety for swimming and water sports, good services and its spectacular setting. Moreover, Scanno has two ski resorts, Monte Rotondo and Passo Godi with peaks over 2200m. There is also horse riding nearby. Abruzzo is blessed with the famous Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine which is served in the about 20 different traditional and fantastic restaurants you can find in this gastronomic paradise.

  • Special discount for long periods. For short periods, the daily rate is EUR 110 per day (min 3 nights).
  • DEPOSIT: 30% non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking. The balance is due six weeks before arrival . Security/breakage deposit of 200 euros payable on arrival / collection of keys, and returned on day of departure. Good quality white towels and linen can be provided at GBP 6 per person per period (1 week). Electricity and gas will be charged according to consumption during winter time. EUR 30 will be charged by the house keeper for the final cleaning.

This lovely restored town home is just as advertised: traditional row house restored to a very high standard in the historic center of the lovely medieval mountain town of Scanno. A great place to get away in a part of Italy that is less-visited by foreign tourists. The town of Scanno is friendly and has dozens of restaurants, most of which will be at your doorstep. Kitchen is well-supplied. There are two nice bathrooms and two very cozy bedrooms on the top two floors. Because the rooms are spread over four floors, this is not the place for those who do not like to climb stairs.
