This quiet 3 bedroom 2 bathroom villa is an ideal away from it all place to relax. It is only a 15 min drive to the coast with sandy beaches and 10 mins to Ostuni. There is a large 10 x 5m oval fenced pool with depth of 1.5m situated in front of the property with patio and paved walkway. This villa has an open plan lounge with wood burning stove, TV, DVD, CD & cassette player and fully equipped kitchen/dining area with fridge/freezer, full oven and microwave. It has a king bedded and twin bedded room with ceiling fans, and shared bathroom and a cot can is available for an infant. There is a twin bedroom downstairs (6ft low ceiling), with separate entrance and ensuite shower room (inc basin & toilet) and washing machine. There is a 1st floor shaded balcony with table & chairs, and outdoor patio with gazebo, garden furniture and BBQ. A car is essential for this property and we recommend that you hire a car no wider than 1.8m or it will be difficult to drive on the narrow lane.

The villa is situated just 10 minutes away from the pretty town of Ostuni. It is a 15 min drive to the coast with sandy beaches and rocky coves and has a safari park in Fasano and a couple of waterparks within an hour's drive. You can visit the historic towns of Ostuni, Martina Franca (20 mins) and Lecce (1 hour) with their colourful markets and the picturesque walled coastal towns of Monopoli (25 mins) and Gallipoli (1.5 hours). Many local towns have summer festivals. Martina Franca has a famous music festival during July and early August. There is a Swabian castle to visit near Bari and a good golf course and horseriding about 30mins away. The spectacular town of Matera which featured in the film 'The Passion' with its ravines and cave like homes called 'sassi' is 1.5hrs away. The villa is a 40 min drive from Brindisi airport or about 1 hour 10 mins drive from Bari airport which have good deals from Stansted with Ryanair and cheaper flights from Pescara or Naples (4hrs drive).

  • Rates include a welcome pack. Charge of extra £50 per week for cleaning and linen. Refundable damage deposit of £200 payable with balance, which will be refunded within 14 days of end of stay, if no damage to property.
    Deposit of 25% due to reserve property and balance due 60 days before arrival date. 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel will be provided per person and a pool towel during the summer months.
  • Cancellation Terms: more than 8 wks before arrival - lose deposit only; 8 wks before arrival - lose deposit + 20%; 6 wks before arrival - lose deposit + 40%; 4 wks before arrival - lose deposit + 60%; 3 wks before arrival - lose deposit + 80%; 2 wks before arrival - lose deposit + 100%.

Notes: There are fans in all rooms except the bathrooms although as the property is in the hills it is normally not too hot for sleeping. There are 2 internet cafes in Ostuni and one in Cisternino which offer internet access. The cafe in Cisternino in the old square under the clock tower also offers free wifi access if you have a laptop.

'We spent a wonderful and relaxing 10 days at the Villa Rosa from 2-12 August 2005. The house was perfect for a family of 4 and made a great base from which we explored the baroque splendours of Ostuni, Martina Franca, Lecce and many more. There are beaches within easy reach and if you get weary of doing battle on the Italian roads, the Villa makes a great retreat amid the almond & olive trees.' Sue Walder, London.
'If you want peace & quiet but within easy reach of quaint towns such as Ostuni and Martina Franca & beaches, then Villa Rosa is the ideal base. I spent 4 days there in July 2005 and enjoyed chilling out & getting away from it all but appreciated the convenience of having plenty of places to visit nearby.' Gail Macindoe, Leatherhead UK. We had a wonderful weekend in the villa. There were 2 couples & it was an oasis of calm. The villa itself is very cosy. The main attraction is sitting up on the terrace & watching the sun go down.
