Situated in St George’s bay 2 mins from the beach. Three bedrooms with en suite to main room. Large open plan living room with fire place/bar/TV and DVD, sky available if requested. Fully equipped kitchen, gas and electric. Air conditioning. Balcony to front and back of apartment. Washroom facilities: separate room on roof for hanging washing and drying. The apartment is ceramic tiles through out. The availability of a cleaner if required. A welcome pack of groceries fresh bread and drinks on arrival. Local shops close by. This is not a tourist resort but a quite town. 10 mins from the bay of Marsaxlokk, a little fishing village with a market in the mornings selling Maltese lace and other local produce. The airport is 20 mins away from the apartment and transport will be arranged. Buses run regularly and are very in-expensive to use. Cruises and boat trips.

St George’s Bay in Birzebbugia is a town on the south side of the island. It is not a main stream tourist resort but a quite locality. St Georges Bay is between Marsaxlokk Bay and Pretty Bay. Pretty bay has a wide sandy beach along its coast while Marsaxlokk Bay is a small fishing village. St.George’s Bay is home to small boats belonging to local people. The apartment is situated in St.George’s Bay with walking distance (1/2 mile) to either bay. Buses run from St George’s bay to Valletta every 20 mins. From Valletta you can pick a bus to any destination in Malta. Ferries to Gozo, Malta's sister island run daily and are very inexpensive. Local shops close at 12.00 but reopen at 4pm. The local Golf Course is only 15mins away .Throughout summer, villages in Malta hold feasts with fire works, band marches to celebrate their local Saint. Good value in the south of Malta for your pound.

The apartment was in an excellent location for people wanting to experience Malta but at the same time avoid the the holiday crowds. The area is not a tourist destination in itself but access to other areas is easy and in fact evening walks to Marsaxlokk (approximately half an hour) to eat at wonderful seafood restaurants were a highlight. We used a hire car for the first week to explore as much of the island as possible but in the second week used public transport which was easy and inexpensiveThe apartment had everything we needed and we enjoyed our time so much that we extended our stay. The small beach nearby is fine for a swim but the larger beach a 15 minute walk at Pretty Bay was more pleasant for a day at the beach and had good coffee shops nearby. The owners of the apartment were very friendly and helpful and responded immediately to any problems we had.
