Island of Malta holiday farmhouse: Zurrieq

Raymond was helpful from the begining to the time we left.
The property is situated up a small side street in a little maltese town, with a small number of local bars and a cople of eating places. On entering the property you could see that it was full of character with a lovely little courtyard hidden from the outside. The jacuzzi and pool were clean, the pool itself is only a bit bigger than a plunge pool. The courtyard and seating area would have benefitted from a little TLC, as the area and furniture looked tired. We did spend most of our time sitting there with candles burning, drinking local wine, beer and eating. The kitchen was equipped with what you needed and everything worked.
The two upstairs bedrooms were adequate and served there purpose, both with there own little terraces. The bedroom downstairs though doubled up as the main indoor sitting area and did not have any hanging space.
There were enough shops around for minor shopping and the supermarket (lidl) was about 10 minutes drive away. Blue grotto's bars and resturants were also only about 5 minutes drive away, which was a lovely place to spend time.
There were no essentials waiting for us and we needed to shop on arrival,for example, milk, bottled water, bread etc however due to it being a saturday evening there was very little available.
We enjoyed our holiday, however we would have been lost without a car. The visitors book was full of lovely comments and you can see why, but it did not really hit all our needs.
