Notes to the rental rates

• RENTAL RATES:Inclusive rates in GBP based on exchange rate of £1= €1.30 for UK Bookings. If 7 WEEKS BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE, the prevailing exchange rate differs by more than 5 points (down to €1. 25 or more or up to €1.35 or more ) then rates will have to be REVISED (up or down) to reflect any such changes. Remaining Balance Payment due 6 weeks before arrival date will then be revised. EURO € are ALSO ACCEPTED from EU eurozone countries. Please use CONVERSION TOOL. Rates shown are for 1-4 Adults.
  ADD GBP 50.00 (€ 65.00) for 5-8 Adults. 2 children (3-11years) count as 1 adult. DEDUCT GBP 50.00(€ 65.00) for each additional week beyond 2 weeks.. WEEKEND is FRI to SUN. Midweek is MON to THU. FREE WELCOME BASIC FOOD PACK worth ?25.00 for all 2009 bookings received by 23 DEC 2008. SECURITY DEPOSIT: £80.00 or €150.00 in sealed envelope to be handed to Housekeeper on arrival who will ensure it is refunded to house guest if no damages to the inventory of property have been sustained.
  
• BOOKING DEPOSIT:
  25% of Total Rental. This is payable (within 7 days of your confirmation of booking) by UK Bank Cheque or SWIFTBIC/IBAN bank transfer to the nominated account which will be advised. Euro € payments to be made by SWIFTBIC/IBAN bank transfers to the nominated account which will be also advised.
  IMPORTANT: Exchange rate condition: see above under rental rates.
  FULL PAYMENT OF BALANCE:
  This is payable as above SIX WEEKS BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE.
  All UK cheques should be sent to Owner's UK address which will be advised.
  
• OPTIONAL EXTRAS: Welcome basic FOOD PACK on arrival ( Tea, Coffee, fresh Milk, six Eggs, one packet Bacon, one Cooking Oil, one Butter Flora or similar, one loaf white Bread, one jar Marmalade or jam, Salt,Pepper and Sugar.) ?25.00 payable locally to housekeeper. Please order with booking. BABY SIT, extra MAID SERVICE by local arrangement with Housekeeper.
  

Accommodation and Facilities for the house in Malta

Safety and Hygiene

Children should always be accompanied by an adult in the enclosed pool area. The gates to the pool area should be kept closed and bolted to prevent entry by unaccompanied children. Do not let young children wander alone in the garden and pool area. The Swimming pool is only 2.5 m deep (7') at the deep end. NO DIVING please. Care should be taken. No more than eight persons should make use of the pool. Please use the outdoor shower in the garden and remove sun lotions before using the pool. Sun umbrellas should be closed at night because of night damp and wind. Please abide by the Housekeepers instructions regarding garbage disposal. For safety reasons roof terraces are out of bounds. Accommodation is strictly restricted to the number of persons booked and confirmed and should never exceed 8 persons. Sorry but NO DOGS OR PETS are allowed in the house. YOU ARE POLITELY REQUESTED NOT TO SMOKE IN THE HOUSE. Thanks for your cooperation

CAR RENTAL and AIRPORT TRANSFERS IN MALTA: It is best and cheaper to pre book Car Rental or Airport transfers directly. ring 00356 21313261. USEFUL CONTACTS: Housekeeper - Mrs Rose Azzopardi - Telephone 21436994 - lives close by in the village; prepares the house for your arrival and provides linen/towels for the number of persons booked; also provides weekly cleaning/ linen change for bookings of over 7 days. Additional cleaning/maid service and baby sitting can be provided by private arrangement with her. Gardener/Handyman - Bertu (contact through Rose) - has access to water the garden twice weekly. He comes in early at 6am and will not disturb you. Pool attendant Martin (contact through Rose) needs to maintain the pool at least once weekly. He also comes in early. Always follow his instructions and those of the Housekeeper regarding pool chemicals he or she may use. The pool room is strictly out of bounds. Emergency/plumber Etienne( through Rose)

Arriving and departing

We require full details of your incoming and outgoing flight arrangements in order to hand over keys to the house. Arriving guests may enter after 3pm. Departing guests are requested to vacate the house by 10am. This way we have 4 hours to clean and prepare the house after previous guests have departed. Polite Notice: We expect you to inform the Housekeeper of any damages caused by you during your stay which we may not be aware of.. This way we can repair or replace before the next guests arrive. Please also inform us if you notice any damages on entry (which we might not also have been aware of or noticed).
