Laundry, ironing, cooking & babysitting available. 2 min. walk to safe & stunning beaches with fine white sand & turquoise waters - no roads to cross. Great variety of watersports on offer. Situated in the well serviced village of Péreybère on the sheltered & unspoilt part of the island's North coast, which can be walked along for many miles. Péreybère has a variety of excellent restaurants, amenities, shops & water activities. Beautiful, safe beaches, fantastic snorkelling. Luxury hotels nearby with access to their evening entertainment/golf. 5 min. taxi/ bus ride to the resort town of Grand-Baie with its charming shopping arcades, restaurants on the water's edge & bars. 'Le Jardin de Pamplemousses', unique tropical botanical gardens with giant indigenous tortoises & small zoo, is only about 20 min. drive away. L'Aventure du Sucre, an old sugar mill converted into a stimulating museum is also 20min away. The island's capital, Port-Louis, & its exotic markets, modern shopping complex & museums, is about 40 min bus/taxi drive. On request, we will arrange your airport transfers with our reliable English/French speaking taxi driver. Air conditioned taxi & about £28/transfer.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The nightly rate for the apartment ranges from £50 - £60/night throughout the whole year depending on the length of stay ,number of people & time of the year. A deposit of 50% is required to hold a booking. Payments can be made by cheque, bank transfer or credit card using the Paypal online secure payment system. The remaining 50% balance is to be paid 1 month prior to your holiday. You will receive a prompt e-mail confirmation for all payments made. Discounts available for repeat guests, airline staff or stays exceeding 21 nights.
  • Our availability calendar is regularly kept up to date. If there are any periods marked U, it means that the period has been prebooked & that we are awaiting payment to confirm the booking.
  • Should the dates required not be available, or should you require further accommodation for friends /family accompanying you on your holiday, we also own 2 other properties in the same Residence with similar facilities and a similar layout. They are also advertised on this website; property number: 15107 (large 3 bedroom duplex apartment) and property number 56340 (large one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living/dining area).   • The apartment is made up of 2 bedrooms which are both air-conditioned with modern air-conditioning units. One bedroom has a comfortable double bed, and the other 2 wide comfortable single beds + 1 pullout bed. On request, we can provide a baby cot with an extra padded mattress+ bedding, which can be placed in either bedroom. Each bedroom has ample cupboard hanging and shelf space. Both bedrooms have black-out linings to ensure a good nights sleep. Both bedrooms have wonderful views of tropical vegetation.

Notes: Full set of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans and cooking utensils. Kettle, toaster, coffee machine, ironing board/iron and hairdryer also provided. Smoke alarm and fire extinguisher. An additional mattress can be provided on request to sleep an extra 2 people in the living room. Daily maid service (except week-ends & bank holidays) is included: general cleaning, bed making & breakfast dishes washed. This is done by Sheila, the concierge' s wife. For an extra 80 Rupees/day about £1.30, she can also wash the dishes from your lunch or dinner. Sheila can also babysit for about 50 Rupees/hour/child (about £1 per child per hour) & cook local dishes for a whole family for about 300 roupies (about £6)+ the cost of ingredients. Tennis courts are less than a minute walk from the apartment & courts can be booked for 100 Rupees/hour (£2 approximately, including loan of rackets & balls

Activities offered a few min. from the apartment: A great variety of reasonably priced activities can be booked a few minutes walk from the apartment: dolphins visit by catamaran with possibility of swimming with dolphins; yacht/trimaran/catamaran/boat day cruises to offshore deserted islands, all with immaculate beaches (with barbecue, stops for swimming & snorkelling); excursion to the beautiful island of Ile aux Cerfs, with barbecue, swimming & snorkelling; full day trip on the “Isla Mauricia”, the oldest active magnificent sailing boat, with lunch, snorkelling & musicians; Captain Nemo’s undersea walk with a helmet for 30 min, great for non-divers & children over 7; half day/full day deep sea fishing (marlin, tuna and other species); line fishing; parasailing over beautiful lagoon; scuba diving; Blue Safari Submarine: discover the undersea world at a depth of 35 meters, great for anyone over the age of 2; Nessee semi-submersible boat with snorkelling between fishes & reefs to discover the marine life.

We were leafing through our Mauritius photos the other day and thought that we really should drop you a line with some feedback about our holiday.

We wanted to thank you for sharing your apartment with us. We had a stunning holiday, and one of the best things about it was the knowledge that every penny we spent went into Mauritian families and businesses, not to multinational hotels.

The apartment was very comfortable, and so convenient to the beautiful beaches in Pereybere – it was so nice to be picked up at the airport, greeted at the apartment and made to feel so welcome. Sheila cooked us a couple of delicious meals, and we enjoyed many of the local restaurants and bars. It was a very memorable holiday for all.

We hired a car. This gave us an opportunity to explore the island - which we very much enjoyed, particularly as we happened upon a fantastic restaurant in the hills.

You little ripper!!!

We have just returned from our holiday in Mauritius (October 2008). Our apartment was great and bigger than average, the bathroom was clean, however, we found the toilet area a bit cramped. I am one of the fussiest people and I could not fault the cleanliness of this apartment.
The staff was first class (polite, caring and attentive); nothing was too much trouble for them. Sheila made us feel very welcome at our arrival. The pool was always well maintained. We had almost exclusive use!!
The beaches are some of the best on the coast - plenty of room available to enable you to soak up the sun and relax.
We recommend this apartment for the budget conscious families, although the service is great. We will definitely use this apartment again. If you have already booked I am dead jealous!

appartement tres confortable et calme avec piscine - bien situé pres de la plage, des commerces et des arrets de bus - nous avons été bien accueillis par Nanda qui est venu nous chercher à l'aeroport et par Sheila à la résidence. Nous n'avons pas loué de voiture, Nanda nous a proposé de nous faire découvrie l'île en Taxi , nous en sommes trés contents et nous le recommendons, il nous a bien parlé des coutumes et des lieux à voir (l'ile aux cerfs, les terres de chamarel, les dauphins,...). Notre séjour est passé tres vite.
