Situated in the well serviced village of Péreybère on the sheltered & unspoilt part of the island's North coast, which can be walked along for many miles. Péreybère has a variety of excellent restaurants, amenities, shops & water activities. Beautiful, safe beaches, fantastic snorkelling. Luxury hotels nearby with access to their evening entertainment/golf. 5min. taxi/ bus ride to the resort town of Grand-Baie with its charming shopping arcades, restaurants on the water's edge & bars. 'Le Jardin de Pamplemousses', unique tropical botanical gardens with giant indigenous tortoises & small zoo, is only about 20min drive away. L'Aventure du Sucre, an old sugar mill converted into a stimulating museum is also 20min away. The island's capital, Port-Louis & its exotic markets, modern shopping complex & museums, is about 40min bus/taxi drive. Payments can be made by cheque, bank transfer or credit card using the Pay Pal on-line secure payment system. The balance, remaining 50% is to be paid 1 month prior to your holiday. You will receive a prompt email confirmation for all payments made. Discounts available for repeat guests, airline staff or stays exceeding 21 nights.

Notes: This apartment is ideal for couples in particular or for a family with up to 2 children. Facilities: full set of cutlery, crockery, pots & pans and cooking utensils. Kettle, toaster, coffee machine, hair dryer, ironing board/iron. New 'Gracco' style travel cot & high chair on request . The travel cot can be placed in the bedroom or living room. . Smoke alarm and fire extinguisher. Bed linen & bathroom towels provided. The bedroom has an orthopaedic mattress, its own remote controlled air-conditioning. The air-conditioned living room has a sofa bed to sleep an extra 2 people. Sheila, the concierge's wife, can baby-sit for about 50 Rupees/hour per child (about £1 per child per hour) and cook tasty local dishes for a family for around 300 Rupees (about £6)+ the cost of ingredients. The tennis courts are less than a minute walk from the apartment & courts can be booked for 100 Rupees- £2/hour (rackets and balls included)

Apologies for not getting back to you before but is has been so hectic since our return from Mauritius. Fraser and I had the most wonderful holiday and he said that it was his best birthday present ever. This was certainly helped by your lovely apartment, location and all the fantastic help provided. We will certainly be recommending your apartment and the holiday generally to friends. Speaking of which some of our friends have said that they would like to join us in Mauritius at Christmas time. We hope that you are not booked up. Grateful to know as soon as is possible.

Great location

The apartment was in a great location. It had bus stops just outside which can talk you to most places, 2 beaches within a couple min walk and one where it was almost deserted. We prefered the quiet beach behind the apartment. There were two fresh fruit and veg stalls where we visited on a daily basis, and we brought our meat from the supermarket in Grand Baie which is only a couple min bus ride away. Everyone is very friendly there and will say hello. The apartment provided us with everything we needed, and although there was a pool, we ended up swimming in the sea instead as it was so calm. We walked along the coast from Pereberye to Cap Malheureux as recommended by Sandra during a lunch time and it was amazing even though we had to climb over quite a few rocks in flip flops due to the tide comming in. I would recommend anyone staying at this property to bring a tourch as there are regular power cuts and no street lighting. The only down side to the apartment were the ants in the kitchen, they manage to get in every morning and cover the kitchen area so you have to make sure you do not leave any food on the kitchen top. The concierge and his wife were really helpful when you wanted advice and directions. There are quite a few tour operators in the area, and a trip to ile aux cerf is a must as it is such a beautiful little island.

tout au long de notre séjà par des gens vraiment sympas
Le climat nous manque trop et la belle vie passée la bas
nous donne déjà envie d'y revenir.
L'appartement est vraiment décoré avec goût et est
une invitation à la détente.

Nous sommes revenus dans notre Périgord et très enchantés de notre séjour à Péreybère. Appartement fonctionnel, bien décoré et près de toutes commodités (dommage que la petite supérette ait fermé juste avant notre arrivée).

Nous avons vraiment apprécié l'accueil de Nanda, Sheila et sa famille. En plus nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer vos parents totalement charmants avec qui nous avons sympathisé et en gardons un très bon souvenir.

Nous ne savons pas encore ce que nous ferons l'an prochain mais un autre séjour à l'ile Maurice n'est pas impossible. Nous gardons le contact si toutefois cette éventualité se présentait.

Great holiday - Great Location

Date of stay - 24th November - 6th December

Just to say Susan and I had a great holiday in Mauritius. The apartment and facilities were excellent in particular we enjoyed the luxury of having the swimming pool all to ourselves. The apartment is well located only two minutes from a choice of beaches and next to the local public bus service. We found the information pack very helpful and made great use of the advice.

In particular we enjoyed the walk along the coast to Cap Malhereaux. We also took a trip to the South of the island with Nanda and found him to be very knowledgeable. The Botanical Gardens are excellent and well worth a visit.

I have to say our boat trip with Herve was something special, a red letter day and something we look forward to doing again.

All the local restaurants were excellent, however we agreed that Pereybere Cafe provided a great meal at inexpensive prices while Sea Lovers offered that something special, more upmarket.

There were many highlights during our holiday but I think sitting on the beach at night waiting for a sunset provided lasting and unforgetable memories.

Finally, I would like to thank your parents for their hospitality, help and assistance throughout the holiday. Also a big thanks to Sheila and Pilley who were always on hand to ensure we had everything we needed.

We had a fantastic holiday and look forward to returning sooner than later.
